My school had an official "smokers' corner." Oh no, not for the teachers. It was for the kids.
And it was inside the building.
We had a smoking room, but it was only for seniors.

...yeah, we might need a generation of phones built to be a tank, just so we can properly communicate our wrath to the other person.
Huh. Maybe a 'soundboard' app, which allows you to hang up the current call with a sound effect?
Or a USB-c to RJ45 converter so you can get an old phone from the thrift shop to carry around in case of angry phone shenanigans.

Or you can just simply slap your face. It has a similar sound effect.
i mean you can still do this, my mom's SO has multiple landline phones in their house, and i'm sure it's not that difficult to convert an old landline phone to use modern standards with some adapters.

Just as a sidenote here, it really isn't hard to use an old phone.
You just get an old phone and then there's adapters with BT, so you just hook up the old phone to the adapter and hit pair on the BT to pair it with your phone and tadaa.
Actually just figured that out after reading this thread. Might get myself one.

I'm old enough to have done this, yet I never have..
I feel like this was more one of these movie things that don't happen nearly as often in real life.
Oldhead here: we slammed the living shit out of those phones.
I just mean that in normal life, how often do you really get mad enough at someone that you hang up on them? I can probably count that on one hand and I'm not exactly a youngun either. In movies it feels like every other phone call ended that way haha.

You probably weren't that angry when using public phones.
I was once in New York using an AT&T payphone and trying to place a reverse-charge (or "international collect") call to the UK and the operator REFUSED to accept that UK phone numbers are ten digits long. You better believe I put that thing through it's paces.
