One thing that always miffed me rewatching the prequels as an adult: all the jedi dress like hobo obi-wan did on tatooine and it makes no sense, because, obi-wan was a hermit living in squalor and second it was a desert planet so naturally you'd dress like a bedouin. Luke doesn't wear fucking robes in episode 6 when he becomes a jedi, but no, lucas is lazy and obi-wan and by extension everyone else, wear the same stupid clothes.

Obi-wan isn't just a hermit living in squalor. He's supposed to be a fugitive hiding from Vader et al. So why would he be dressed in the same exact way he was before becoming a fugitive?
