He even changed the presidential address microphones. They’ve been using dual SM-57s for decades, but I suppose they’re not good enough for him.

[–] GreenKnight23@lemmy.world 1 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago) (1 children)

guess why. I'll give you a hint, it rhymes with smoeblob.

blowjob, he fucking loves giving mike blowjobs

edit: save the gif while you can. seems like the internet pixies did their magic and almost removed all reference to this little incident online.

[–] Krompus@lemmy.world 1 points 9 hours ago

Why the hell would I want to save that? I see plenty of references when I search.

[–] TemplaerDude@lemm.ee 20 points 15 hours ago (2 children)

He’s such a fucking coward and Americans elected him twice, which says something about Americans.

[–] Smoogs@lemmy.world 3 points 9 hours ago

Some voted for him 3 times even

[–] Tja@programming.dev 3 points 14 hours ago

By a bigger margin the second time.

[–] jsomae@lemmy.ml 5 points 14 hours ago

Side note but I hate that this these are presented in counterclockwise chronological order for some reason.

[–] DemandtheOxfordComma@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

So tired of everyone stroking the Emporer's fragile ego. Dear Leader can learn to suck himself off.

[–] And009@lemmynsfw.com 3 points 13 hours ago

Wouldn't need an island if he could

[–] mathemachristian@lemmy.blahaj.zone 14 points 22 hours ago

The US has to make announcements about military action so often there are already traditions on how to do it. And if a president doesn't keep to them he is a weirdo.

[–] x0x7@lemmy.world 2 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

Alternate take: It's an indicator that we're stepping into a very serious war.

And of course we have nothing to gain for it.

[–] skisnow@lemmy.ca 91 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Conspiracy theory: this is Heritage Foundation steering in order to safeguard their totalitarian dictatorship in the event of Trump's death. They're making sure that his successors get their faces shown as much as possible up front to ease the transition.

[–] hovercat@lemmy.blahaj.zone 7 points 20 hours ago

I just think they're there to make sure that if he has an "episode", they can shuffle him off to bed and take over.

[–] guynamedzero@sh.itjust.works 37 points 1 day ago

Honestly not a bad conspiracy

Yes man entourage? You mean handlers.

[–] D_C@lemm.ee 14 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (5 children)

Russian and also physical handlers. They are there to catch him if his leg braces give out from all the obesity and literal shit tumbling down his trousers.

[–] BrainInABox@lemmy.ml 0 points 11 hours ago

You know we're cooked when Qanon tier conspiracy theory is mainstream on the liberal side

I thought that was weird too. I couldn't remember another time I had seen anyone's behind the President there. So weird and pointless.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmings.world 22 points 22 hours ago* (last edited 22 hours ago) (1 children)

When Obama announced the passage of ObamaCare, Biden was by his side. I remember it well because just before Obama spoke, you could hear Biden on a hot mic whisper "This is a big fucking deal, Mr President."

I laughed my ass off.

[–] kryptonianCodeMonkey@lemmy.world 7 points 22 hours ago* (last edited 22 hours ago) (1 children)

Fair. I dont remember the details, but I do remember that quote. I mostly remember Obama standing there alone announcing Bin Laden's death. It was quite memorable for obvious reasons but also I was in a bar at my buddy's 21st birthday hangout, and things for rowdy.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmings.world 13 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

The night Obama announced Bin Laden's death was also the night he humiliated HitlerPig at the big Press Banquet. Some believe that was the moment that he decided to run for president. So while Obama was roasting HitlerPig in front of the world, he knew that he'd be ordering Bin Laden's killing later that evening. Interesting context.

#MyPresident

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 87 points 1 day ago (6 children)

Bush: Dealt with 9/11

Obama: Dealt with Bin Laden.

Biden: Dealt with covid.

Trump: Played golf more than any other president in history in his singular first term (which by the way, ALSO included the begining of covid), is the only president to get impeached TWICE (and did it in his singular first term), got 34x convicted for actions that occured DURING his singular first term.

And now he needs a team of security blankets behind him....one of which is his son.....to support him as he CONTINUES to destroy this country, and now the world. Hitler continues to be the single most destructive force the world has ever seen. Trump really feels like he's trying to be a contender for that crown.

I'm as dumbfounded today as I was the day after the election. HOW THE FUCK DID AMERICA ELECT THIS SHITBAG AGAIN???!!!

This is what they're referencing. Or possibly just the "Every accusation is a confession" law of maga.

[–] BrainInABox@lemmy.ml -1 points 11 hours ago

Good to see that the American "left" has been fully taken over by Bush era conservatives.

[–] Tower@lemmy.zip 39 points 1 day ago

Left to right, those are JD Vance, Marco Rubio, and Pete Hegseth.

[–] LeFantome@programming.dev 2 points 1 day ago

Which one is his son? Let’s kick start the real conspiracy.

[–] NoneOfUrBusiness@fedia.io 11 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Okay can we not glorify America's 21st century batch of war criminals?

[–] Shiggles@sh.itjust.works 21 points 1 day ago (3 children)

The list of “American Presidents that weren’t deeply problematic as individuals” is a very short one, and I think the only one I’ve heard a good argument for is ole Jimmy Carter.

But Trump is still magnitudes more problematic than any of the other individuals listed, and it’s whataboutism like yours that led us here.

[–] BrainInABox@lemmy.ml 1 points 11 hours ago

I would say it was liberal willingness to normalize and even lionise bloodthirsty war criminals like Bush that led us here

[–] AppleTea@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 day ago

Woo! Keep white-washing the Bush admin baby! After all, they only laid the foundational policy for every administration to follow.

I can excuse starting another war, but I draw the line at having people behind him.

[–] KatakiY@lemmy.world 1 points 9 hours ago

Right? Who gives a fuxk. Dude just tried to escalate into thermonuclear war to protect Zionists and we're talking about how he didn't follow some unsaid procedural rule about how he has to be manly and announce his war crimes solo

[–] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world 29 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It's about accountability. The buck stops with him, so he speaks alone and takes sole responsibility for the decision, and it's consequences. Trump doesn't understand that. His lackeys are there so he can blame them if it hits the fan, Iran retaliates on a US urban population, and hes left with only taco options.

[–] NoneOfUrBusiness@fedia.io 19 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The buck stops with him, so he speaks alone and takes sole responsibility for the decision, and it's consequences.

That has literally never happened in my lifetime.

[–] AppleTea@lemmy.zip 13 points 1 day ago

Hey! You're not supposed to remember and analyze the actual actions of those in power! Keep your nitpicking to tone and presentation, please.

Bwahahahahaha a fucking toddler that needs his hand held. What a messed up timeline are we living in that we ended up with insecurity hitler over here.

[–] FauxPseudo@lemmy.world 18 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Trump is always surrounded by people in his White House interviews. My whole life any time the president was talking with a camera on them in the White House it was just him on screen the vast majority of the time.

Now there are also at least 5 people standing there while he sits. Sometimes I think it's a test. Will they stand for an hour? Will their face crack when he says something dumb?

[–] Stalinwolf@lemmy.ca 1 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

I've noticed this also. What do you think the psychology is here? Is it meant to make him seem stronger, or of tougher solidarity?

[–] FauxPseudo@lemmy.world 1 points 11 hours ago

I think he is a needy person that taxes everyone around him with his constant need for adulation. So it takes a team of people to keep him happy enough to not pick up Twitter/Truth and start opening his brain on it. Because it is clear to me that he has no adult supervision when he posts.

[–] Varyk@sh.itjust.works 14 points 1 day ago

Being weak and scared is Trump and his followers' whole thing.
