Quietly? My mother watches a lot of the shows, and it's been pretty obvious that the "game show" elements are overtaking the cooking. The problem is that I'm certain the current shows are doing much better than straight cooking shows.
Quietly? That happened years ago. I remember back in the day when it had that PBS cooking show feel, it was awesome. Lots of great chefs ...cooking. Now it is a game show channel, has been for a decade at least.
