It's not even a conspiracy, this is literally what white supremacist and nazi online groups do all the time. They flood "apolitical" spaces with CHUD content, to normalise their toxic views.
All of non-hobbyist Reddit (and a lot of hobbyist Reddit) is a struggle to make your preferred political view apolitical and ban the other ones for being political
