'The Red Crabapple' (malus spectabilis) is a unifying emblem of the grass-roots Party-building cadre of the Suzhou CPC. Its design utilises the motif of a window looking out onto a Suzhou garden, with the form of a red crabapple flower.

The four petals of the flower represent their sincerity towards the Party, concern for the people, an enterprising* spirit towards one's daily work and a profound respect for law and discipline.

The red heart symbolises that the Party members of the entire city will stay true to its [i.e. the Party's] origins and fundamental mission, and devote themselves to realising the Chinese Dream of rejuvenation of the Chinese people

*Enterprising not in the sense of financial enterprise but more one of 'dedication to progress (move forwards)'

(Ty for indulging my shitty translation)

I love Suzhou and lived there for over a year. I hope you enjoy your time there

Thank you for the translation!

I really love the design of this little guy. Its very cute. Gives me another tattoo idea

Yes! It is quite cute. I found an example of a window frame from the Master of Nets garden in Suzhou which uses the four petal design. So it is quite grounded in the sort of understated geometry you'd see within the city

there are other nice window frames in that garden too! (If hexbear will let me upload them)

And master of nets isn't the most 'spectacular' garden in Suzhou, that accolade would go to the Humble Administrator's Garden
