It's amazing to me that we've come full circle, back to Torpedo7 being an online only retailer once more, or soon to be at least.

I'm not sure how the warehouse group managed to balls that up so badly, they just didn't offer good value at all as a retail store.

I've still got a Torpedo7 branded tent from back in the day when they had like two stores.

No, they were profitable before the buyout. It's why Warehouse Group bought them for tens of millions, and sold them for a dollar.

They were a great store, very sharp pricing and quality gear.

As R&R sports? I remember R&R Sports being like macpac and khatmandu of the early 2000's, quality tramping gear. They probably were profitable but probably not 10's of millions profitable.
