A friend of mine was tragically killed recently in a random act of gun violence. He was an artist. His works were all over the place and left a solid legacy for people to remember him by. The ultimate expression of his beautiful soul, captured in perpetuity.

I've decided to start doing some art so I can leave the world a better place than I found it. So I need to learn to draw.

Shit's hard yo

Very cool!

you should keep adding ellipses to this until the gaps are too small to fill with ellipses!

Thank you for the post and that story, you've reminded me why I need to get back to some of my own creative endeavors too.

Keep up the good practice! I'm sure your friend would be proud to know your art is part of his legacy too.

Thanks comrade I appreciate that

I want to make something beautiful for his widow. Will take some time.

Good work. Line and shape are the most humble of the elements of art and, in my opinion, the hardest to master. Shit is indeed hard yo.

What a nice sentiment! It is a lovely way to honor your friend. It's also therapeutic on a personal level, in my experience. A relative of mine died very young from an aggressive cancer. He liked to write high fantasy fiction. I like to write it, too. Every time I do, I think of him. It's a way to help carry him into the future.
