About 2 weeks ago. It's no better or worse than the usual music they play.

Above all, WHY must they play music everywhere and so loud

[–] fakeman_pretendname@feddit.uk 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Because it makes some people (not you or I) hang about the shops longer and buy more things.

(not you or I)

Spot on! Too much/too hard and I make a 180 right at the door. Sometimes -when in the mood- I challenge an employee to turn it down. Their reaction is always one of :

  • "we can't, even if we wanted to" to which I offer -but are always being denied- to pull some plugs or fuses.
  • "it's what our customers want" but can't provide reference customers nor details on either which/when/where/how they polled

Got Whammed by a rickshaw in London yesterday. November 17, the earliest I've been out of the game in a long time. The last 4 years it's been those rickshaws every time.

What's thanksgiving music?

[–] LadyButterfly@piefed.blahaj.zone 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I think the traditional Thanksgiving song is: "Turkey, Turkey baked yams how we love you so, We didn't like the natives so they just had to go, Genocide ain't no bad thing can't you see it's true We got all the big land oh Turkey we love you"

The day after Halloween in Asda, Underneath the Tree. I usually like christmas music but I was already having a bad day and that song is so overstimulating when you're in a busy supermarket.

I'm in Yokohama, Japan and hear some last week in the department store.
