Vaccines cause an adult population that's healthy enough to question the efficacy of vaccines.

I think this is going to be a serious problem for scientific advancement over the upcoming decades. Look at how many people are posting stupid ass memes about how the ozone layer hole was a hoax, despite the fact that we moved mountains to fix it.

At this point misinformation travels so rapidly that scientific progress is actually used as positive evidence that the science isn't working--because it works too well and people are too stupid to see what's actually happening.

Most preventative measures fall in the category of 'an adequate response will look like an overreaction'. It's a really tough catch 22.

Are they really doing that? I hadn't heard this one, yet. I was really hoping everyone just knew that we fixed it and that was a good thing... I literally had classes about it...

Yup. I've also seen memes with people claiming stupid shit like "are we finally willing to concede that COVID was a hoax and the vaccine mandates were [insert something dumb about muh rights].

It's not an issue that only affects science. It's an issue that affects all professions. People are condition to think if there is no issue if everything is running fine. Everything is running is fine as people are staying on top of various issues. No fires burning out of control is a sign that everything is working fine.

The best works are rarely noticed and even more rarely thanked. Nobody notices the janitor until the third stall on the second floor bathroom is overflowing with shit and he is the only one with biohazard on speed dial.

It saves the stupid as well as the competent. Spared them.

[–] irish_link@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

Ohh, no no they have a point. I mean look at them, they got vaccinated and they are all dumb as shit.

Some people say parents need to vaccinate all their children. This is a lie. Please only vaccinate those you want to keep. Spread awareness about this misconception.

[–] SapphironZA@sh.itjust.works 5 points 3 months ago

Please also send those parents and children far away from the general population.

I follow the same policy with brushing my teeth

I'm desperately keen not to be seen as fatphobic, but it's really ruining my day that they didn't match labels to the shirts that.... cover a greater surface area, shall we say.

Surely it would be more effective to put the longer words and terms on those with the biggest shirts, with the shorter words or initialisms on the shirts catered for the more petite community?

That said, I'm quite sure i've put more thought into this post than these wankers have in forming an opinion on vaccination plans.

They're anti-vax campaigners, safe to assume they're not the brightest bunch.

[–] khepri@lemmy.world 15 points 3 months ago

The only negative or dangerous thing caused by vaccines are these very people pictured here.

[–] Empricorn@feddit.nl 12 points 3 months ago

That's a lot of dumb white bitches.

[–] tacosanonymous@mander.xyz 12 points 3 months ago

Are they telling on themselves?

I will bet their lives that they were all vaxxed.

Somebody should probably tell them where botox comes from... And how silicone is useful in both facial plastic surgery and car doors.

[–] RizzRustbolt@lemmy.world 5 points 3 months ago

There was a Swiss anti-vax group literally called "Freiheitstrychler" (Bellringers for Freedom).

"and having unprotected sex is the only way to prevent these illness: why prevent a virus through vaccinations, when you can just reproduce." 😂😆
