I would be more than willing to take on the responsiblity for some of them. The ones I think I am best equipped for are SRS comradeship and the news ones, but if you guys need a hole plugged elsewhere I am willing
meta
For discussion of Lemmygrad-specific issues.
I've assigned you to SRS, Comradeship, US News and World News.
Thank you so much!

From the most active communities, I can take /c/korea@lemmygrad.ml due to being one of the most recurrent posters in that one.

I can try my luck at europe, communism or memes. If you need another one for shitreactionariessay, I'd like to help aswell.
I've added you as a mod for /c/memes.
Thus my reign of terror begins
I could do China or perhaps Europe or World News, if there's no one else. But honestly in all the time i've been here I've seen very little need for mods to step in. We hardly ever get outright hostile trolls, especially in those comms. And i would probably be too permissive as a mod because i quite enjoy having discussions with people of different views. Since i joined i reported only maybe a handful of comments, and that was for just straight up fascism.
This post should help explain why we're looking for mods. The idea is that if we have people who are active in a particular community moderate that community, they can deal with the occasional breaking of the "be respectful" rule in particular without having to wait for an admin to deal with a report. This includes intervening without removing comments or assigning bans; a mod should be able to use the "speak as moderator" feature to reply to comments that seem likely to generate conflict.
That all sounds very reasonable. As i said, i can do the China one if there is still a need.
Great, I've added you to /c/china.
If nobody volunteers for Europe in the next couple of weeks i can do that one too, i'm quite active there as well. In general i'd prefer just focusing on one, it's just if nobody steps up and you absolutely need someone to do it.
We'll probably be able to find someone, but I'll let you know if we don't
I don't think I qualify for the first requirement 😅
You can assign me anywhere if you wish, I can subscribe if I'm not, but my availability might be all over the map. I try to be here most days unless things are wild in 3D or I'm too zonked.
We're currently prioritizing users who have been active for at least a year, but I'll get back to you if we're still missing mods in a week or so
I'm not sure how long I was here before I lost my password and had to create this account, so I'm fine with that, either way.
I'm down for China and technology 👍🏿
I've added you to /c/technology.
I can help with c/china and c/communism since I have particular interest in those communities
I must have missed it earlier, but there's already an active mod in /c/communism. We've also found one for /c/china. I'll message you if we need additional mods in those communities.
Ok!
I don't know if this is the right place to bring this up but c/ukraine_war_news@lemmygrad.ml does not seem to currently have an active mod, at least based on the activity of the current mods. If I'm wrong about this please correct me. Perhaps you could look into it and assign another mod there as well, since it's one of the communities most likely to require more frequent moderation than most other coms.
Yeah, I was focusing on the current top 20 most active communities in this post. If anyone wants to moderate /c/ukraine_war_news@lemmygrad.ml or another community without active non-admin mods, they can message me.
The reason I bring it up is because I think it would be good to have a mod pin this post: https://lemmygrad.ml/post/9212334
I've seen quite a few people ask where they can find information on the conflict and it would be good to have that in the com.
i'm suscribed to this community https://lemmygrad.ml/c/alunya but it seems that the mod that was there dissapeared or it was banned. i could be the mod i guess, but basically the place it's just apparently a place where i post pics sometimes, so i can't promise too much, but i wanted to bring attention to that place
sure, why not
I'm glad to mod us_news
As mentioned in the post, we’re currently prioritizing users who have been active for at least a year. We'll keep you in mind if we still need more mods in a week or so.
Will be happy to help out in c/europe if it's still needed
You don't seem to post or comment very frequently, and as a mod you'd be expected to be fairly active. If you typically just lurk, that's all right, we just need you to be available to handle reports.
I get that, I'm mostly a "lurker". If there is any way to help out just let me know!
I've added you to /c/europe for now.
Alright, if there is any other way to help out, just let me know.
I can mod /c/europe.
