This gun was amazing in ArmA 2. There was a roleplaying mod called Takistan Life where you could be the UN peacekeepers/Pakistani military/rebels/civilians/terrorists. The UN players were all very pathologically-driven police impersonator-type guys who took it very seriously. Vehicle checkpoints, airport and city defense, enforcing traffic and drug laws- they were some of the most insufferable nerds I've seen in a game.
The Saiga-12 was like a machine gun blasting buckshot across the entire screen. I'd fuck with UN players by sneaking up to their checkpoint and destroying an hour's work between a dozen players in seconds. It could blow up an entire convoy, down most aircraft, and there was no escaping it because I could light up every tree in a forest with one magazine. The only thing in the game more broken was an anti-aircraft tank with four AP autocannons, but Saiga-12s were so cheap that I could outfit the entire terrorist and civilian factions with them. The VOIP screeching was beautiful.
