My party made a post on instagram condemning the invasion of Venezuela, and they actually said that Maduro and Chavez improved the lives of Venezuelans. I'm positively surprised. Of course some libs in the party are complaining about that, and the group chat is fighting over if Maduro deserves support

[–] bennieandthez@lemmygrad.ml 12 points 2 weeks ago

Gusanos have been trying for years to fabricate this myth that Venezuela was prosperous before Chavez, there is no doubt that people's lives have improved under the chavista period, there have been bad times due to the oil shocks and subsequent economic blockades by Empire but they're overall on a better spot.

Have a good week, everyone, and stay safe. I know times are dark right now, but the bravery and determination of the Venezuelan people shine through. Death to empire.

As always, communism will win.

[–] SlayGuevara@lemmygrad.ml 25 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I kinda hate how so many libs online are having a meltdown saying fascism has started in the US now while they have been exporting death everywhere for decades and still live on stolen land acquired by genocide. It's only them that are the targets now.

[–] pyromaiden@lemmygrad.ml 14 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

Well, that is what fascism ultimately is: imperialism turned inward.

They never had a problem with the death and destruction so long as it was foreigners dying and foreign lands being destroyed. Now it's their coworkers and their neighborhoods and suddenly there's an urgent, pressing concern to act. And even then they can't find the courage to do anything more than walk around shouting dumb slogans for a few hours until the KKKops gas them.

I've always thought the most immoral people are the ones who ignore suffering rather than inflict it. Liberals just reinforce this belief with their every deed and action.

If you have any liberal friend or family that still believes in the US as a "good" force, this book will dispel that fallacy.

[–] pyromaiden@lemmygrad.ml 23 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Bosses are trying to have me work six days this week while I'm fighting for four.

The class struggle is real.

So for years now I have been saying that not Russia but the US is the biggest threat to world peace / Europe and I got the necessary shit for that but now with Trump threatening Denmark I'm having my moment of smug

Keeping it to myself though as I need to steer people into the right direction now

[–] ahriboy@lemmygrad.ml 22 points 3 weeks ago

Venezuela is still strong. Nothing can take the oil.

Leftist viewpoints and resistance LMFAO, is this liberal zionist mainstream viewpoint now or something? (This is Quora btw)

[–] SlayGuevara@lemmygrad.ml 19 points 3 weeks ago (6 children)

I had a lengthy discussion with my father in law regarding joining defence when Russia would invade Europe. I wouldn't do it and he said he would do it actually.

Anyway, this conversation is now playing in my head but then with a possible US invasion of Europe. And I don't know if I'd NOT do it, really. Not that I really want to die for Europe either, but in an anti imperialist way it could make sense.

As a reminder, the US is not invincible and their Delta force has been defeated before.

  • In 1993, the US attempted to carry out the same operation in Somalia as against Maduro, using the same unit, Delta Force, to arrest the Somali vice president. They were waiting for them. A Somali, using rocket launchers, managed to kill 17 members of the Delta Force, including two high-ranking American snipers, wounded 73, and shot down two Blackhawk helicopters. The mission failed. The bodies of American soldiers were dragged through the streets of the capital, Mogadishu, in a historic scandal for the United States.

I wish China or DPRK would give nukes to all the countries threatened by the USA rn 😒

[–] bennieandthez@lemmygrad.ml 17 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

Idk if it's just bad faith or they're just genuinely stupid but my gusano-in-christ China and Russia were your oil clients they did not control your oil, with the US in charge you will be a client of the US in your own country with your own resources 🥴

Woke up, no snow. Went to get dressed for 15 minutes, 5cm of snow. Cool, I'll take the bus. No bus, no info anywhere about of they operate or not. Cool, I'll take the metro. No metro (underground hello????).

Good luck getting to work. Oh btw, if you are late it's your fault. It was announced it would be snowing. Oh your bus didn't appear without any warning? Oh well...

This country crumbles the second something unexpected happens.

Dozens of oil tankers from BRICS members Brazil, Russia, China, India, plus Mexico and others are BREAKING THE AMERICAN BLOCKADE and loading Venezuelan oil.

As they should. Venezuela can decide for their own and countries doing business with them should be able to do so. US insanity should be kept to their own.

Hey, is Maduro's wife actually being charged with anything? Or is she just being held because ??? Obviously the entire situation is bad but I feel especially bad for her.

[–] bennieandthez@lemmygrad.ml 16 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Maduro charges are fabricated anyways, whats a few fabricated charges more for his wife?

[–] rainpizza@lemmygrad.ml 14 points 2 weeks ago

According to a pro imperialist media in Mexico, she is accused of the same charges as Maduro.

[–] pyromaiden@lemmygrad.ml 13 points 2 weeks ago

Probably being used as a hostage to try and threaten Maduro into confessing or some such.

  • The flag of the USSR at the Simón Bolívar monument in a protest against the attack by 🇺🇲 on 🇻🇪 and the threats by the government of 🇺🇲 against 🇨🇴

  • Colombia, Bogotá, January 7, 2026.

There's a whopping 2 cm of snow here and emergency situations have been issued. The entire public transport system is overwhelmed. Like fuck me man how? In high school I had to plough through -12 degrees and snow and nobody thought it was anything special.

https://peoplesdispatch.org/2026/01/05/venezuelas-revolution-still-stands-debunking-trumps-psyop/

Basically boils down to:

1. US has very lethal force, that can do targeted attacks/kidnapping.
2. All out invasion is not feasible for USA (check Afg, Iraq, VIetnam)
3. It’s not a coup by his VP, that’s preposterous
4. Revolution still continues
5. Material support offered by Russia and China is not enough
6. Maduro called for diplomacy before, that’s still the official position
7. In the article they discuss the parallel between Russia and Germany during WW1, the same thing is emphasized in this article too.

In 1918, Lenin and the Bolsheviks famously signed the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk, ceding vast territories to imperialist Germany to save the infant Soviet Republic from annihilation. He was accused of selling out the revolution by the “left communists” in his party, but he compared such a compromise to that of giving up your wallet to an “armed bandit” in exchange for your life. This concession led to the breakup of the alliance with the Left Socialist-Revolutionaries who accused him of “treason.” The Left Socialist-Revolutionaries took up an armed struggle against the Bolshevik government, including an assassination attempt on Lenin as a “traitor to the revolution” that left him badly wounded in September 1918. Two months later, Germany surrendered and the Soviet Republic regained all the territory lost at Brest-Litovsk.

Venezuela facing the same situation. Retreat today to advance tomorrow. (Offer big shares of PSUV to US finance)

This kidnapping happened due to failed regime change, and US fragility to do ground invasion

As a tangent, I also heard USA tried to do naval blockade, but Venezuela circumvented it with the help of Russia. Blockade was not effective. (Again this is not mentioned in the article)

I'm a centrist, I think both the Nothing Ever Happens Party and the It's Happening Organisation have valid points. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle, either with half a thing happening all the time or something happening every two business days.

Protests against war on Venezuela in Billings, Montana, US. (Source: Fight Back! News)

🫵 You WILL have hope, comrade.

[–] SlayGuevara@lemmygrad.ml 13 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Just saw a vid of a journalist in Minneapolis who was reporting at the protests and she was wearing a bulletproof PRESS vest. How anyone can keep the facade going of the US being a stable country is beyond me.

The head of a University in Belgium, who is also a key figure of the Green party, got caught using AI to write her opening speech of the year and not only that, it contained quotes misatrributed to famous people. Like, fake Einstein quotes and stuff. I just think that's funny as fuck.

[–] amemorablename@lemmygrad.ml 12 points 2 weeks ago

This year feels exhausting to me already and we're not even a week in. I'm trying to keep in perspective that's part of the goal of shock action is to wear down and demoralize, but it still grates.

[–] Atlas@lemmygrad.ml 12 points 3 weeks ago

Back to work today, vacation is never long enough...

I hope all you comrades have a wonderful week. Stay safe 💜

Gonna wake up some day soon to reports about US invading Greenland aren't I?

[–] SlayGuevara@lemmygrad.ml 16 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

Which is funny because for years now we have been warned about evil Putin and is tankies kept saying that was bullshit and that the US is the real danger and look who's right again.

Watch Ukraine side with the US when it happens. The media will have a mental breakdown trying to spin that into a positive.
