He wants to experiment on Americans by seeing what happens as vaccination coverage plummets and infectious diseases spread.

“What we’re going to have is a real-world experience of when unvaccinated people get measles. What is the new incidence of hospitalization? What’s the incidence of death?”

I edited it a bit for clarity.

If only we has thousands of years of experience of this to draw from. Such uncharted territory.

They saw how much they could get a away with minimizing the longterm health impact that Covid had on people and are going to do the same with everything else. Chud already ate up enough BS that we're seeing measles outbreaks. Big Pharm must be rubbing their hands with all these potential longterm customers needing to minimize the impacts of these diseases which were previously nearly eradicated.

It’s so infuriating to me because I learned the exact opposite lesson from COVID. The correct lesson was “With surprisingly little effort at a societal level we can eliminate almost all contagious disease”

Mandatory vaccines, mandatory masks in crowded places, mandatory paid time off work, random screening viral testing. That’s all you need to do and you can stop the spread of COVID, flu, strep, and a bunch of other diseases almost entirely.

Don’t you want to never get sick again??? As a business owner, don’t you want to stop worrying about your staff calling out sick, or reduced numbers of customers because they’re home sick? We could have that! And for basically nothing! In fact, it would save society tons of money and labor!

Ah but you see it would mean the government and government bad. Also won't somebody think of the quarterly earnings?

It reminds me of the Megadeth song title: Killing Is My Business... and Business Is Good! The Big Pharm remix just needs a couple edits.

Suffering is our business... and business is good!

And the public will vote for them in droves anyway.

Something something laughing scorpions.

While it's normally a lifetime immunization, there are polio boosters for people who are expected to be in locations with outbreaks (Pakistan, Afghanistan); maybe Americans should consider getting one while it's still available sheesh.

Its lifetime if you are expecting to live in the context of 100% community vaccination.

Some have started suggesting when you get the 10yearly tetanus booster, get the one that also has polio in it. You can try asking for that. If there is hesitation, tell them you plan to travel to Pakistan so you need it.

This is good advice! I just got my Tdap + polio booster a couple weeks ago. Where I am (not the US) it's standard practice to do a polio update with the Tdap (tetanus, diptheria and pertussis). I know vaccines have weird availability and coverage rules in the US, but it is definitely worth looking into.

Turning the entire country into fallout style vault tec experiments as a bit is not okay.
