This is why I wear waterproof shoes or shoes that dry easily along with wool socks.
It's a terrible article, but just so you know a lot of electric bikes aren't rated for rain. If you ride a bike not rated for rain you can end up breaking the bike (or more specifically the electronics in the bike).
That's interesting, I admit I had never considered that. I'm glad I didn't know this while riding my budget Chinese e-bike in torrential rain on a remote mountain road a few months ago.
Haha, yeah I'm not sure how risky it really is, but I know with my bike the battery sorta slots in, meaning there isn't really a seal around the battery. I think that's why you'll see some people wrap the battery area with plastic wrap/bags to help protect them during the rain.
Not sure if you're looking for options, but I've had success with waterproof Vessi shoes. That's combined with rain pants that cover my ankles, and the tops of the shoes.
