Must really feel the recoil with that short barrel. I've shot a standard I think 14 or 16 inch ar and the recoil was very mild.

Well it also depends on what it's chambered in, if it's .300blk then it will have a little oomf. But .556/.223 wouldn't be too bad if you have the right stance and grain.
