I'm so fucking happy that so many people are so justifiably infuriated at these collaborator scum. May they feel, and be constantly reminded to feel, regret for the rest of their lives.

[–] IntrovertTurtle@lemmy.zip 24 points 4 weeks ago

I don't want them to feel regret, I want them to feel unending fear and (barely) less-than-lethal pain until they're begging for death, every day until they do finally die.

I might have some...sociopathic thoughts on how that would happen.

I’m gonna have to do that to my rep soon because he fuckin voted for this shit too.

Time for me to look up what my rep voted for

To save everyone a moment

The seven Democrats who sided with Republicans were Reps. Henry Cuellar (Texas), Jared Golden (Maine), Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (Wash.), Laura Gillen (N.Y.), Don Davis (N.C.), Tom Suozzi (N.Y.) and Vicente Gonzalez (Texas).

Oh huh. I may have been thinking of a different, earlier vote where he voted to fund them. He’s not on that list.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 1 points 3 weeks ago

yeah there was a different funding bill where the local dem voted with the gop. I was sharpening my pitchfork too

[–] other_cat@piefed.zip 1 points 3 weeks ago

Shocked and abhorred that Maine's rep voted for that considering they've been getting hit by ICE hard in Portland, Maine.

VOTE like your life depends on it.

[–] danc4498@lemmy.world 23 points 4 weeks ago (2 children)

Oof. Hopefully he’s getting primaried.

[–] tomenzgg@midwest.social 8 points 4 weeks ago

Every time someone like this shows up in the news, I write a reminder for myself to alert me a month and a half before that state normally holds their Democratic primaries to look up who's primarying them and donate to the best one (if there are multiple running against them) until the primary happens.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 3 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

Maybe. But consider he both admitted he screwed up and took the hits. To me that’s a commendation. You got somebody better, well lets have ‘em, just saying those were already two very rare occurrences for a congressmember.

[–] danc4498@lemmy.world 4 points 4 weeks ago

Yeah, admitting to a mistake is good. Looks like he’ll get a chance to make up for it since Dems have blocked it in the senate.

[–] Protoknuckles@lemmy.world 23 points 4 weeks ago

I called his office to complain and the person answering his phone sounded so exhausted. She must have been fielding calls about it all day long.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 14 points 4 weeks ago

Man, the only thing better than that righteous anger was that it was on loops.

[–] Sunshine@piefed.ca 12 points 4 weeks ago

Keeping calling out those corrupt politicians.

The constituents he serves are legitimately morons. These fucking dummies voted George Santos in. Long Island is embarrassing and always has been. Some of the worst people I’ve ever met are from Long Island.

Tom Suozzi won the special election after George Santos was finally thrown out.

These people shouldn’t even be able to vote, they’re so backwards.

Posted this on the crosslink:

I love this guy. I haven't watched the video yet, so here it is, and I'm going to go watch it now

https://youtu.be/IqfpovtKy2w

Walter Masterson, check out his videos. He was at the Capitol on Jan 6th, he goes to maga rallies dressed as them to interview people. I wish some of the people he goes with were on YouTube, but I think they're only on all the socials and I don't use them

If you know of other channels like this can you please share? I'd really appreciate some recommendations of activists
