I'm amazed it took this long before they started round up journalists and censoring social media.

Its almost like ICE wants to scare off media organizations from reporting on Minneapolis (1) to keep the wider public in the dark and (2) to protect its officers.
More reporters in Minneapolis keeping this front and center for the public would be good imo.
What the fuck.
Hasan you better be in a safe house.
He's in the dog house for 7-days, right now on Twitch!
Can they arrest people without telling them or their lawyers what they are being charged with?
I bet the charges are gonna be more flaky than Trump's old flappy dick. And this is just an intimidation tactic.
I just posted this in another thread on the same story. Here's what I wrote:
Don Lemon was there as an independent reporter interviewing the protestors and church people as the protest was going on. I just watched Legal Eagle's video about the protest yesterday (definitely watch it if you're interested in this stuff).
Basically, it boils down to the federal government pushing to get a perp walk (photos of the alleged criminal in handcuffs being walked by "authorities") to plaster photos of them all over social media to make the accused look bad. As Legal Eagle says, it's the federal government making content and doing it for the memes.
Once they're arrested, federal lawyers TRY to get them in front of a judge to get them (protestors and Don't Lemon now) convicted of something, but in this case a whole bunch of judges have said, "What you're doing doesn't make sense and hasn't been done before, but if you want to try this case in front a grand jury - go ahead." The judge knows they won't because they'll lose so the case eventually gets dropped - but hey, they got some good photos of people they don't like!
Flip the script. Big smiles for the mugshot, hold your handcruffed wrists high.
My mistake, do nothing. Give up. It's over.
That's the spirit!
They could dissappear him and it wouldn't matter anymore. We're deep in the endgame now
Bruh they're just warming up.
A couple street executions here, a detainment and (separate) FBI search of journalists there to gauge public response. They'll adjust their approach, improve their propaganda and continue dismantling communities.
They're deep into abducting and concentrating innocent people including children They will continuously escalate their brutal and violent responses to resistance.
They demanded voting records. They aren't stopping with immigrants and they're taking the first steps toward cataloging the opposition.
Trump is not in charge. He is the distraction, the orange herring providing cover for the likes of Stephen Miller, Russell Vought and other focused, effective organizations operating in the background. The true consequences of the dozens of executive orders Trump auto-penned in his first months have hardly kicked in yet.
We're just reaching the second quarter.
Can they arrest people without telling them or their lawyers what they are being charged with?
Right you are to ask! The answer should be no. According to media lore this has always been optional in the USA. Anecdotally also in reality, at least until now. More recently it seems to be the norm.
Of course due process and such still exist, but this whole admin works around the principle that higher-ups have absolute power to simply dictate how things are done. Wait, "dictate"? So, what do we call the whole thing then?
Cheesus.
It's like every time somebody says "this is exactly like Germany in the 1930s" they deliberately notch it up. At this rate it's going to be 1945 by the end of the year.

Democracy manifest!!
What is this referencing?
One of the lucky 10,000
"Democracy Manifest" (also known as "Succulent Chinese Meal", amongst other names) is a viral video and internet meme. It was recorded in 1991 for a news segment by the reporter Chris Reason and uploaded to the internet in 2009. YouTube has several postings of the video with more than a million views each.[1] In 2019, The Guardian called it "perhaps the pre-eminent Australian meme of the past 10 years".
