Queue the propaganda pieces from the Chinese. You are seeing this as Canada just opened their markets to Chinese autos last week and the US is terrified and China wants to push their advantage while the US is destroying their own global market hegemony.

This piece is meant to sew desire for Chinese car products to either indirectly support Canadian market entry as reasonable, which if you're Canada it is, if you're the US it's disastrous for your dated, overpriced, uncompetitive, sluggish auto industry.t

my Ford Mustang Mach-E

I'm gonna stop reading right there.

Anything particularly wrong with the Mach-E?

Likely not, I've seen it's a popular model to hate on though, most likely due to using the Mustang badging.

Yeah the vehicle is great. Lots of room, good acceleration…

But Mustang? Come on it’s a fucking crossover. To put that and this beast…

in the same category is a freaking sacrilege.

I see this comparison a lot and wonder why they feel that the E is the terrible departure from the muscle-bound model when this existed decades prior.

The whole 3rd (1980-1993) and especially the 4th (1994-2004) gen Mustangs were pretty mediocre looking.

You're absolutely right. Just like every other model out there, this one has had some egregious missteps in design over the decades. The e is hardly the first time that the badge was used on a vehicle that didn't sit well with the fans.

Totally agree. And all those execs should have fired. And possibly publicly humiliated.
