With the rampant increase of Anti LGBTQ+ hate crimes, speech and laws internationally, the LGBTQ community globally no longer feels safe.

Respect the people who belong here. If you're confused what that means, here's a minor primer:
No asking to date trans people or otherwise meet up with them. No treating being transgender as a mental illness or as being lesser in any way. No arguing with trans people about their identity. No arguing with trans people about their vulnerabilities, including anything related to sports, laws, etc. This includes anything else that the mod team deems disrespectful.
- Stay on topic!
Posts should be related to the defense, advocacy, and restoration of LGBTQ+ rights.
This Community is for news regarding, as well as the discussion of, anti LGBTQ+ laws, hate crimes, and propaganda.

To quote the Atlantic from last week. Every second the Republicans are talking about trans issues (highly important to 4% of voters) they're not talking about the economy (highly important to every voter).
Every time someone brings up queer issues just go "yeah but how you gonna afford healthcare next year dummy?"
We can't win on queer issues right now, but they can absolutely lose on them. Once that happens we can go back to protecting trans people, but in a non-bombastic way.
Why can't the Right just leave us alone?
There must always be an out-group to demonize, an "other" to rally against.
Also, apparently the majority of them are literally actual pedophiles and they always accuse others of what they are doing.
Because they can’t have anyone looking directly at how vile and evil they are so they gotta project at some random innocent outsider. Ten years ago it was gay frogs, now it’s trans people.
Ima shut up now because I’ll start a bad Lewis Black impersonation if I keep going.
Because they spend their entire existence repressing any joy in order to please their magic sky daddy who is increasingly, very obviously, not a real thing.
