Just a fraction too much dough.
Next time I think 350g instead of 400g flour to start and see how that goes.

I'm testing my new sandwich loaf tin (the type with a lid to keep it square). I think I might have used too much dough, but it's hard to tell when you can't actually see how much it has risen. I guess I'll find out in about half an hour!
Back from an overnighter in Bendigo to see Ben Folds (who is as disgustingly talented as ever) and looking forward to having no plans or commitments until work on Monday.
Got back to melbs yesterday. Southern x isn't very pleasant at the best of times but yesterday was something else w/ the RH.
Anyway back on the soup trial and error for ol' girl train. After that mouth op that was 10 days without anything balanced / substantial.
P's leave for japan in 11 days so effectively I have maybe 2/3 days to work this out as I'm not sure what's changed.
Struck me that it's funny (not really) that you can have access to the best healthcare / whatever food you want / see specialists at the drop of a hat completely bypassing wait times / dieticians whenever / physio whenver (that was refused) but a huge aspect for general nutrition and wellbeing boils down to.. is in this case.. soup. Scary really.
It boils down to having someone willing to take the time and effort to make the soup just the right way. And none of that can be bought.
She is so lucky to have you.

Yeah nah it's cool I'll just do all the housework and stuff. You just chill.
"here's a little pillow for you gibson"
...
"nope the raw cardboard box corner is just fine thank you, now get back to work".
how is it cats make so much work even tho they have little bodies
I have observed children's netball. Big got player of the match in the under-9s
I have also observed a swimming lesson. Little has mastered backstroke
There's one guy at swimming who either really likes Bowling For Soup or he's decided that's his swimming shirt. He's worn it there two weeks in a row now
I'm so happy I have a physical calendar now. I've written everyone's birthdays in it so I'll never forget again - for whatever reason putting them into my phone calendar isn't the same and doesn't help lol.
Just sent MiL a message saying happy birthday, after years of partner forgetting (ADHD brain lol), and I feel really good lol
I picked up a page a day diary really cheap and it's great because you can't write reminders in ahead of time in a normal notebook
I love physical calendars, it's just so easy
It's so muggy ๐ฅต
Yeah wth? I just went for a ten minute walk and came back damp and moist lol
Corpos: Ai is the future and if you don't get on board you'll be left behind!
Also Ai:
Coglover corpo scum
I mean Gibson is awesome but she hasn't figured out how to use the internet
Are you sure?
She'd have no use for me if she could order her own treats lol
That's good, honestly, it would be a shame if she turned into a coglover too
Nice to hear Magda appears to have beaten her cancer diagnosis.
So happy for her. Magda is a national treasure.
have much to do today, will have to make detailed lists or nothing will be done
I've just done a pumpkin headcount and (depending on how many are properly fertilised and continue to grow) it looks like I could end up with a dozen pumpkins this year. That's a lot of pumpkin for a single person. Hopefully they don't get too big.
There are also a lot of fruit on the tomato plants, but I still don't have any ripening.
Great way to make friends with the neighbours, gift a pumpkin!
Dang, my tomato plants are just about done.
I pulled mine out in disgust this year.
Mine went in very late, then they grew really slowly but are now covered with fruit. I'm just not sure I'll get much in the way of ripe tomatoes or if I should just plan for a ton of green tomato pickles.
Today is the day I catch up with my old friend (I got the date wrong initially; stupid, because I chose the date ๐คช) She's chosen one of those hotpot places in Chinatown. I've never been to one of those before.
Have a beautiful day!
Ooh you're in for a treat!

Can I please have a dangerous dumpling smorgasbord?

how did it take me this far into adulthood to realise that a damp sponge is the best thing to dust with. None of those special cloths even come close. Dry dust sticks to it, and then rinses right off.
you want damp because it holds the dust
dry dust put dust in the air
also, vacuum first, then dust because vacuum cleaners raise dust
I use a fluffy cloth, like microfibre but fluffier. I have several so when one is full of dust I just get a clean one and then toss them all in the washing machine ready for next time. A lambswool stick duster is useful for fiddly spots or reach up for cobwebs in corners. Then I just take it outside and give a few good whacks on a railing to dislodge the dust.
If it's a flat surface, have you tried the shower squeegee?
Ohhh I havenโt! Itโs mostly non flat surface
warm uncomfortable night
