Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

It's the New York Times. Even "journalist" in quotes is generous.

Dr. Strangelove was not fucking supposed to be a manual of operations.
Where have I seen this before...
The Department of Defense was changed to the Department of War, and its official website: www.war.gov has a front page propaganda piece for Operation Epic Fury, the military designation for the war in Iran.

Trump criticized plans for wars of regime change, and then turned around and did it himself, calling on Iranians to help the US overthrow their government. This is what success looks like to this person.
The supermassive black hole of sheer mendacity here defies description. They seem to be unable to realize that you’re supposed to present a believable lie under which people can operate so that it becomes easier to choose the believe it than not. The Trump regime is composed of people who aren’t even competent fascists, it’s just egotistical chaos somehow still propped up by a 100 years of absurd American success.

Aha! I've got it! The US is performing a humanitarian operation where they aid Iran with reducing their CO~2~ emissions.
