We don’t need to imagine.

They were still proud enough to take photos.

The victim on the left knew he was about to die. I'd say that's the most tangible difference.

Truly a portent. This shit is going sideways. We need to organize.

Don't go reminding Americans that they still live in a fascist regime!

They have happily forgotten it all and are very complacent now. Else they'll decide to do another "protest" march on Saturday between 2pm and 4pm.

The middle class is disappearing and most Americans are a paycheck away from being the ones they pity.

Extended protests are easier in countries that have a safety net.

Americans risk police violence, criminal records, and potential perpetual poverty.

Despite that, Minnesotans have protested ICE occupation for months in nearly record-breaking deathly cold, just to send a message. How much that accomplished is up to opinion.

(Whataboutism, I know, but,) As the rest of the world falls in line with far-right social and economic policies with little opposition, it is a hypocritical vantage point to criticize Americans who are themselves victims of neo-fascism.

The middle class hasnt existed since the aristocracy. You are all wrking class and just feel safe in yur little suburb while drowning in debt. The homeless man on the street probably has more cash on hand than most of the wage slaves

I get you, but "middle class" in America harkens to a time when a salaried position provided its own safety net (affordable university degrees, affordable housing and healthcare, and an income that not only covers it all, but also enough to pay for retirement with added wealth to leave the next generation)

I may be wrong, but "working class" in America implies a non-salaried job without many benefits.

Your government wants you to know there is a difference.

They want you to believe that the left is the Democrats, and the right is fake news.

Excuse my “living in a cave” and not living in USA question, but who is ICE murdering in the second pic?
