Rules:

1. Be civil

Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.

2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.

Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.

3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.

Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.

Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.

5. Only recent news is allowed.

Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.

6. All posts must be news articles.

No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.

9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.

All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.

10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

Yep, he's wearing a death skull on his hat like the SS guards at the camps like what I was talking about.

[–] Thedogdrinkscoffee@lemmy.ca 13 points 1 week ago

Yes. Yes they are.

[–] a4ng3l@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago

Not like those guys can claim that they were drafted into those camps though… they knew…

[–] IAmYouButYouDontKnowYet@reddthat.com 40 points 1 week ago (2 children)

I thought they shut this place down months ago?

[–] Sunflier@lemmy.world 63 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Article:

In August, a federal court ordered the state to shut the facility down, though that order was overturned on appeal and the case remains ongoing.

[–] panda_abyss@lemmy.ca 32 points 1 week ago (2 children)

This perfectly encapsulates the response to everything happening in American Politics this last year.

[–] theneverfox@pawb.social 2 points 1 week ago

That's what I said

[–] comrade_twisty@feddit.org 15 points 1 week ago

Wait it’s really still open? Did the media decide to tell everyone it’s shut down and then never bothered to inform the public otherwise?

With diligence, collect the identities of all people working at Aligator Auschwitz.

When the regime falls, capture them and ship them to the Hague.

[–] hanrahan@slrpnk.net 4 points 1 week ago (2 children)

never happen, because the US is then forced to Invade the Hague. If the US was part of the ICC, every US President would be in jail.

The Hague, forced labor in the industries they wrecked (picking produce, manual labor, etc.), I ain't fussy.

Punished and broken.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

A proper left leaning party would take power and immediately repeal this law.

Unfortunately, we have the Democrats.

[–] Paragone@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

That idea fails simply because the Republican dictatorship will last for 7y.

Trump, then probably Musk, replacing him, around the turn of the decade.

Trump won't tolerate "democracy" to ROB him of his "crown".

"Manifest Destiny", in his mind.

He can't be impeached, now: trying that would activate dictatorship, right now.

It's too late for that.

False.

The regime will fall, and hunting down ICE agents will be remarkably easy and rewarding.

They cannot hide from crowd-sourced counter-surveillance.

There will be much crying and blubbering about "I was just following orders!"

They will be hunted down like dogs and it will be glorious.

Why is it shaped like Texas?

[–] anomnom@sh.itjust.works 8 points 1 week ago

AI just assumed.

Hard to fault that hallucination though.

"America's Team! GO COWBOYS!!!!! TONY ROMO BANGED MY WIFE!"

/s because honestly who the fuck really knows? My wife's a cowboys fan so i always always throw shade. Fuck em.

Edit: Tony Romo did not bang my wife. I know that for 100%. Troy Aikman? I mean I'm pretty sure it didn't happen.

[–] resipsaloquitur@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

One star state.

[–] AcidiclyBasicGlitch@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

My first thought was this must be from the "~~HEY~~LISTEN UP LIBRUL__________!" memes

I can't find my favorite one "Listen up librul, my children no longer speak to me. I miss them."

[–] MooseWinooski@lemmy.ca 18 points 1 week ago (1 children)

That doesn't bode well for it turning from a concentration camp into a death camp...

[–] NekoKoneko@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

It's just a matter of perspective. If you're an evil psychopath, which is apparently the only demographic that has power and authority anymore, it bodes very well.

[–] Paragone@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago (1 children)

The incinerators will be built, for getting rid of many bodies.

They couldn't let it be known what the real purpose of their network was, until after dictatorship's activated, & all non-Republicans de-naturalized, then either drafted into Trump's imperial-conquests or ICE'd,

but the incinerators will be built.

Yes, they're going to be concentration-camps, in the local style.

[–] ImitationLimitation@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 week ago

By definition of the term, they ARE concentration camps already. No need to use future tense.

[–] scala@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 week ago

Still costing 1.2mil a day to run, mind you.
