One on the right definitely has the soul piercing eyes. Would give pets, if allowed.

Their names are Trip and Trap.
We've had a similar situation but it was the cats who hated each other. They started a staring competition after encountering the other, not daring to move a single inch. After a long while of standing fluffed up decided to turn into loafs but still stared at each other.
It was the cute version of the cold war with assured mutual destruction.
The brown one looks like he'd playfully attack your toes as you walk by, and then scamper off.
The black cat on the other hand.....she is intentionally waiting by the stairs. She is plotting murder.
But they're just so cute, who could say no?
Note the black cat, looking at the electronic device and wondering where the light switch is..
