Little more complicated. Most Democrats want to let Republicans do what they want because both benefit. The ones fighting for social programs are demonized by the corporate Democrats.
The OOP could be equating corporate Democrats and Republicans (bringing Nazism). Then leaving the other side as actual leftists wanting to bring healthcare
Unfortunately there's Democrat hardliners and neo-liberals who will throw a helluva fit when you point this out to them. They don't understand that neo-liberalism and yes liberalism are ideologies in themselves, and trend more conservative than progressives.
That's the problem with not having a leftist party, just a left-leaning one.

What the voters want which isn't at all what the democrats will implement, or even try campaigning on.
Realistically based on how the ICE/DHS/TSA negotiations are going it's really just

Sadly still relevant. None the less these style of posts miss the point that while both sides are bad they are not equivalent. Worse still we are untable to make a true left and progressive party in the US.
I strongly believe that we should set aside an area of land, someplace out of the way, where the backwards fascists to call their own. A place reserved just for them, where they can live by their own rules, so long as they stay out of everyone else's way. We could call it a Reservation - like at a fancy restaurant - to make them feel special. They can even name it after themselves and have casinos, with blackjack and hookers.
Those are called Red States.

Yeah if they had to fly solo some if them might but starve to death, at least until their unfunded infrastructure decayed completely without Blue state tax income to subsidize it.
And the Dems act as the paid off ref that allows the Nazi side to do whatever it wants and penalizes the healthcare wanting for every breath they take and anything resembling a funny look.
