Double din is double din
Unfortunately, manufacturers seem to be dropping the radio din standard in favor of fully-integrated infotainment over the last several years
Google wants to get its claws into this potential future market, already anticipating future demand
Google is an incredibly shitty company.
Google running the software on the head units would still be a better situation than what the manufacturers currently do. My 2019 default head unit is already end of life / completely lost software support.
so car manufacturers can use it, then slowly put all their important infrastructure behind a walled garden just like android on mobile. we've seen this playbook before lol
No computers in my car please
You'll have to go back to the 1970s early 80s if you want that.
I will compromise but they aren't allowed to talk to each other or to me
Well have to go back to the 70s. I mean it is why there is the CAN bus in cars.
