Right Where It Belongs

The one he did with Bowie:

I'm Afraid of Americans.

"Sin" and "Head like a hole" are absolute bangers. But "Hurt", oh man, that one claws at the recesses of your soul.

Honorable mention to "Together" and one of the best damn episodes in the history of television (talking about The Bear).

Hard to pick one but I think my fave NIN song is The Becoming.

My fave Trent anecdote is on wikipedia:

Reznor got a job at Cleveland's Right Track Studio as an assistant engineer and janitor.[20] Studio owner Bart Koster later commented, "He is so focused in everything he does. When that guy waxed the floor, it looked great."

Personally I find that inspiring. I may not be able to make music, but I can mop the floor real good!!!

Assitant engineer AND janitor is such a wild mix.

"Hey, do some technical stuff. AND all the small shit that has to be done around here."

I'm guessing it was an entry-level job. I think at that point Trent only had a high-school diploma and little if any experience.

I really like The Only Time, from Pretty Hate Machine

Honestly for just pure nostalgic sake. It would probably be something off the Quake soundtrack. Though there's no shortage of really good tracks to choose from old and new.

Yeah, "Quake theme" (track 1) for me, especially after a machinima used it; tho some of the "Ghosts" tracks are also favorites.

It's hard to pick just one, but it's either Into The Void or Ruiner. It really depends on the day and my current mood.

Burn. Gets me going every time.

[–] etherphon@piefed.world 4 points 10 hours ago

Probably Down in It or Head Like a Hole. I know they're kinda safe choices but Pretty Hate Machine is definitely my most played NIN album due to the time of release coinciding with my teen years so nicely.

TIL we share a birthday.

It's incredibly hard to pick just one song, I'd have to do a mood dependant top 3:

Sin

A Warm Place

March of the Pigs
