I wonder if colors really matter all that much in magic. Poor boy says he could never be a sorcerer but if colors don't matter all that much he should be able to get pretty far imo.

Right? Kinda feels like it's a waaaay bigger impediment to his actual job.

I think it’s more a cultural thing from what Qifrey insinuated. It seems like they’re pretty bigoted towards disability.

Qifrey can be scary sometimes!

Qifrey's face before erasing Nolnoa's memories

He even went to the point of erasing Nolnoa's memories after criticising the Knights Moralis for it.

It made me wonder if Qifrey could turn out to be a villain ! Not a brimmed cap one but still. He probably has a beef with them seeing how eager is he to personally find them. But how far will he go to exact his revenge!?

Did he erase memories or is the shop owner pretending to not know?

[–] hitori_gotoh@ani.social 7 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I think he did erase the memories.

Nolnoa (the shop owner) could have just said he didn't know where the flash of light came from, and Tartah sounded concerned/confused in the end.

I rewatched it and I think you're right. Qifrey apologizes to Nolnoa right before the scene change, probably because he's about to do something to him.

It’s to the point where I’m wondering if Qifrey is going to end up as the actual antagonist, or at least aligned with them. I’d been assuming he’d been so fervently searching for them out of vengeance/justice but he may want their forbidden magic for less scrupulous reasons.
