[โ€“] Eagle@aussie.zone 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

We have that in the 'to build' pile.... I'll make sure to watch the ankles when we get to it.

Dawdling around Carlton Gardens, as I needed the walk

At least I have company while I'm half dead

Edit: spoke too soon. I breathed too loudly and she's done a runner.

Showed the girlfriend Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story last night. Such a funny movie, it's even better now than last time I watched it. But I got the theatrical cut instead of the extended version, which is the one I've always seen. It cuts out some of the best jokes and the 3rd wife completely

Aldi merino undershirts and singlets purchased to replace the ones dying. I usually wear bamboo/lyocell but they take ages to dry. The ski sale had merino cheaper then I pay for bamboo so I am gonna give them a crack

The pantheon of feline deities have a cruel sense of humour.

Great night last night.

Debilitating migraine today. The "in bed all day and nothing is fun" type.

Right there with ya. Great chilled out catch up with mates yesterday. Must've eaten something wrong and triggered gut allergy. Blankie and couch today ๐Ÿ˜ž hope you are over it soon

Same to you โค๏ธ Being sick on Sunday is a crime.

Went to Ford Park in Heidelberg West. People who live there will probably say it's Bellfield, but I don't think that suburb's real.

I knew they did the place up years ago but I didn't realise they had a bike track for the kids. We still had the bikes in the car from yesterday so the kids had an extra special time riding around that today

[โ€“] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I worked at the council depot in Bellfield at the time they renamed that section. I'm quite sure the people who live there are going to be very insistent that it is definietly not Heidelberg West. Sort of like a teenager trying to pretend they aren't related to their parents because they're embarrassing.

[โ€“] tombruzzo@aussie.zone 2 points 1 month ago

Just like I heard people who live in Preston south of Bell St wanted it renamed Preston South with its own postcode

Not daytime yet. Go away daylight.

Hooray fixed the studio subwoofer. It decided to cark it a few days ago with no warning.

Turned out that the internal molex thingo holding the 2 pins feeding the drivers had melted (! oops) and a few of the caps were loose from vibration lol. Notorious company (behringer) for cold shitty soldering.

Good save considering I had no idea what I was fkn doing.

[โ€“] tombruzzo@aussie.zone 3 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Their stuff is decent first gear but you gotta upgrade once you get more serious

#JustBehringerThings

Good work getting it fixed man!

[โ€“] Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 3 points 1 month ago

When I heard the thud turning it on I was like 'that actually worked'.

Usually when I pull apart electronics I struggle putting it back together again lol.

I need to figure out a good flow for doing Coffee work. Spreadsheets should only be for calculations. Nothing should be planned in a spreadsheet

[โ€“] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Nonsense. Spreadsheets are for everything.

Except maybe writing essays. But nearly everything.

[โ€“] tombruzzo@aussie.zone 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I feel like for everything a spreadsheet CAN do, there's a more optimised tool that does it better

[โ€“] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 1 points 1 month ago

An optimised tool might do it better, but that would require taking the time to learn how to use a new tool. A spreadsheet lets you do things quickly with minimal learning curve, and the fact that you end up having to hold everything together with the digital equivalent of string and sticky tape just adds to the charm.
