But that would interfere with our existing and objectively perfect system: ignore/procrastinate until the ice gets so thick the door doesn’t close, at which point the freezer defrosts itself.

Sure, you lose all the food inside, but it’s one less chore to worry about!

It's great, but I have to keep ice cubes in a box or it sublimates them out of the tray.

I had a bag of berries sublimate into a bag of freeze dried berries and ice crystals.

Probably should have eaten them faster hmm

Do you have a 2nd freezer to put everything in? Otherwise all your food is going to turn into mush in about 30 minutes.

We normally defrost the freezer in the dead of winter, so you can leave the stuff outside for an hour and it stays frozen. Ends up using quite a lot of hot water though to melt the ice. Very open to better suggestions.
