General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don't post to both !uk_politics@feddit.uk and !unitedkingdom@feddit.uk .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

Who asked this ghoul his opinion?

[–] ikidd@lemmy.dbzer0.com 28 points 3 days ago

Shouldn't he be dangling from a gibbet in the Hague?

It was 33 degrees yesterday, what nutter responds to that by attacking climate policy.

A senior Labour source said: “Tony has evidently not been near a working-class Brit for decades but he’s clearly been away with the tech bro fantasists.

“Reheated Blairism has absolutely no answers to our national decline since the vultures were let loose. There was a time he would have stood up for social democratic values, but this shows just how far he has fallen.”

Can this senior Labour source be put up in the upcoming leadership election, they sound better than what's currently on offer.

Yeah because the reason people unhappy with labour right now is because we're not friendly enough with the American psycho. Also there's too many damn wind turbines, let's get rid of those and reopen all the coal mines. That should definitely help their electoral chances.

His goal is to ensure labour, dose not snip the strings, of their billionaire puppeteers.

If you look closely at Blair's eyes. You can see the haunted fingers. Of a puppeting hand, controlling them via his arsehole.

You could see exactly the same look in the blue eagals eyes from the Muppets

Yeah, don't do that.

If this muppet could shut up and crawl under a rock for good that would be much appreciated.

It seems likely. Billionaires are pushing the media. To interview him. All his statements seem aimed. To ensure Labour remains within billionaire control.

And if you think from Thier side. No other option looks manageable by them untill a general election.

And even that now. Would lead to a less controllable gov then currently. As reform would need some form of coalition. And even that would lead to a weaker majority.

Hence IMHO. Why the news is so full of him. Or calls for a new election if Burnham wants any real change.

My prediction is a few days before the by election we will see a load of articles. Making accusations against Burnham. Times such that it will reduce turn out. But have little option for denial or full research before the election.

Ths way. No matter who else wins. The current labour leadership will be controlled.

I would love to be able to introduce into your life, the humble comma.

You'd need to realise. I cannot see them first.

I'm visually impaired. And while typing on my PC with huge monitors and physical keyboards. Makes that easy.

Tablet accessibility still leads to lazy typing. Only so many tiny grammatical characters I can locate by memory.

reading the essay he wrote is eye-opening, or eye-watering. he's a bloodthirsty ghoul by any measure, brushing off the genocide in palestine and the US' war of aggression in Iran - if he were in power there'd probably be British boots on the ground in Iran.
