If the Empire lasts that long.

By "years" they mean "billions of tax dollars to the defense industry." Must be the golden shower Bonespurs is talking about.

the us will need centuries to fix a lot of shit....

very optimistic of you to think that the US will last more than a decade at this point

I think the rest of the world is fixing it for us, TBH.

The new trade deals that were hammered out post-tariffs will start coming into effect this year or next, and that alone is going to diminish the US' power globally in a significant way.

That Diaper Donald placed a TV show host at the head of the military and he squandered our munitions while at the same time firing anyone who wanted to innovate within the military in order to make defense capabilities more modern is, unfortunately, just kinda cause-and-effect.

It's going to be really depressing in November watching the same people who supported this war, from both parties, get reelected.

nah we won't fix shit for you. we have to clean our bed that you shat in

As intended. Seems like most US wars are about enriching defense contractors and wagging the dog.

If you're not already doing so, I'd encourage folks to watch alternative media when getting your Iran coverage. The MSM isn't reporting on this in a particularly critical way, regardless of which outlet you choose. Personally I watch an alternative news show called 'Breaking Points'.

They've been talking about the weapons depletion and its effects ever since the opening weeks of the war, when planes were falling out of the sky for lack of communication with our allies.

I mean, if all the harping about the Davidson Window we've been hearing for the last 5 years has any substance at all, choosing to get into a pointless war and wasting all our munitions needlessly is starting to sound a bit like treason...really does a good job setting us up to not be able to defend Taiwan if/when China invades the nation...

We’re the ones trying—and so far failing—to goad China into invading Taiwan. The media noise about imminent invasion is consent manufacturing.
