Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Most anti-woke president ever

[–] dizzle18@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 day ago

Shit his pants and passed the fuck out. That's a full day for an 80 year old with a failing heart.

Starting to think this guy shouldn't be in charge of the nukes.

Or foreign policy.

Or domestic policy.

Or federal agencies.

Or a run down donut shop.

Or putting his own pants on.

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 41 points 2 days ago

There's no proof in the video that he has pants on.

[–] Darkassassin07@lemmy.ca 9 points 2 days ago

Well, that last one he's already not doing himself I'd bet.

Takes a lot of energy to reach your own toes, he fall asleep halfway there.

Sorry. Liberal Democracy says he got the most electoral college votes based on a partial sampling of an enfranchised subset of the population.

So he's the best man for the job

[–] auzy1@lemmy.world 43 points 2 days ago (3 children)

When this guy dies, there will be a flood of exclusive interview and by people and his staff about all the stupid shit he did and that an idiot he was

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago (1 children)

We did this after his first term.

He still got reelected.

[–] Catma@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago (1 children)

In a few years no one will have ever voted for him or liked him. And anyone who suggests otherwise is clearly insane.

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Nonsense. We have lots of Democrats who revere Bush and Reagan. We still have some Nixon diehards.

MAGA will endure. Propagandists will get to work. Once he's dead, the hagiographies can really begin.

They'll be building statues to Trump for another 50 years.

[–] tetris11@feddit.uk 12 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I cant wait to hear about his chronic flatulence and the medley of pills and injections he's on to keep him alert

[–] auzy1@lemmy.world 9 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Every accusation is a confession in his case. And he's made a lot of them.

Apparently pharmacy usage rose dramatically during Trump's administration

And diet cokes

The tell-all books will flood the market

Just like after the first term

Yah why did Biden get so much shit. Trump has done much worse for what they made fun of bidden for. But media is silent.

You should check out trumpcriticizestrump. A site/sub dedicated to literally miniscule thing he shamed Obama for that he did far far worse himself.

He went nuts saying any president who has a govt shutdown during his term should immediately be removed form office. Now, this orange kid fucking nazi has one every year, each one record breakingly longer than the last.

[–] grue@lemmy.world 12 points 2 days ago

Because it's always projection.

[–] Gerudo@lemmy.zip 12 points 2 days ago

Because this is a Republican president and the megaphone at faux news doesn't work with Rs.

If it's a D, they outrage machine goes brrrr...

[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 6 points 2 days ago

Because Biden had a multi-billion dollar smear campaign waged against him from the highest echelons of the corporate media, but trump doesn't...

[–] ccunning@lemmy.world 19 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

With the infinitely deep projection, I’m thinking maybe we should have been checking his birth certificate ages ago…

[–] sns@lemmy.dbzer0.com 17 points 2 days ago

He's definitely not woke.
