From the website:

Apple's initial compatibility list incorrectly said that the Apple Watch Series 9 would not support watchOS 27. We've updated this article following the company's confirmation that the device will indeed get the latest software.

dropping Series 9 seems kinda rough... it's only 3 years old.

Yeah, WTAF, I have a series 9. It still feels new to me. What will it not be able to do? Have they said yet?

[–] Arcane2077@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 day ago

According to Apple, it’s supported

Update to the new watchOS, but apparently that's not accurate according to what someone else said.

Just got my partner the 2nd gen SE for Christmas :(

I got a series 3 for $50. What more do I need a watch to do other than: tell the time, count my steps, notify of my messages when I can’t have my phone on me at work?

I scoff at your update, Apple.

Article header now says series 8

Just casually dropping 3 generations at once. Nice move Apple.
