General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don't post to both !uk_politics@feddit.uk and !unitedkingdom@feddit.uk .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

Sad that what surprises me most is that authorities seem to care about it.

Has Israel not intentionally medalled in foreign elections for decades?

Is the issue that this is "unsanctioned" meddling by a private Israeli corporation? Because they seem to be doing exactly what the official Israeli government agencies have done for years.

Isn't there a whole belief that most governments seem to give Israel a pass for Genocide, because they helped get them all elected? I heard that in 2024, and I don't think it would surprise anyone if it came out. They have the tech, they abuse the tech, (as is apparent in this report).

Suspected of interfering in Irish election in 2024 IIRC. Maybe not Blackcore, but Israeli tech company. I can't remember the outcome or what actually happened (if it was even fully investigated or not), but it was along the lines of people claiming it, and the parties in power claimed it was to undermine democracy.. ๐Ÿ™„ So there probably was not any investigation (two political parties in Ireland have basically shared the role with each other for ~100 years).
