Let’s see Paul Allen’s Pixels Per Inch

Marketing at gamers to compare an entry level MacBook is dumb

But the issue is nobody can actually market anything thin and light with a bright HiDPI screen and a battery like the Neo at that price because a pc laptop like that doesn’t exist

But nobody is buying a Neo to game on

You can get PlayStation with the Neo, and still have some money left compared to buying a decent Windows laptop. Which is still shite, unless you ditch Windows and install Linux.

ironically AMD still wins even in this situation

By not having customers, I assume. Or do Sony use their chips? (I’m not aware.) My point was, there’s no need in Windows laptops. Let them Microslop die already.

PS5 and what’s left of Xbox and even the steam deck use custom AMD silicon for the CPU and GPU

I'm sure the people who are looking for a relatively cheap but well built browser machine that can run forever on a single charge are absolutely devastated to hear they won't be able to run the latest AAAAA titles on it.

[–] juipeltje@lemmy.world 1 points 15 hours ago

I'm assuming those 5 other games are too heavy to be considered "running" on it? Cause if we're talking purely about software being able to run on the OS then i don't understand how windows games would not be playable on windows.

That’s not the flex they think it is.

“Neo is now a valid competitor at a fraction of the cost even though most games don’t run natively on it, yet.”

[–] notannpc@lemmy.world 16 points 1 day ago

Did they replace their marketing team with AI? This is not the flex they think it is 😂

stop pretending to still care about gaming, amd. GFYS

Is it just me or does the title or this article not match it's contents, the title says Ryzen 5 laptops run 15 of the top 20 games natively, but the actual contents is that a Ryzen 5 laptop runs 20 of the top 20 games natively and the Neo runs 5 of the top 20 natively.

Is this article AI?

[–] TediousLength@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 day ago

I think they are trying to say in the worst possible way :

Ryzen 5 laptops can run the 15 games of the top 20 that Neo can't.
