General community for news/discussion in the UK.

Less serious posts should go in !casualuk@feddit.uk or !andfinally@feddit.uk
More serious politics should go in !uk_politics@feddit.uk.

Try not to spam the same link to multiple feddit.uk communities.
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric news, and should be either a link to a reputable source, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread.

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

Prosecutors said the case “is not about Israel, it’s not about Palestine… It’s simply about whether they unlawfully damaged property”.

No, it's definitely about Israel, and their Zionist agents inside the British government.

Deciding on a retrial, eh? Just keep trying them until you get the verdict you want?

They didn't get a verdict at all, which I think is the issue. It would have been great if they actually got a not guilty verdict, at which point I don't think they could be retried.

looks like cps are deciding (at the time of article) if they want a retrial or not. Still if it goes to another trial, the next jury would also go for not guilty. Show these idiots the will of regular (unbribed by israel) people

Recently read that Russia is pushing for stuff like this and some of these factories make parts for Ukraine instead or as well. Would be interested in how much truth there is to that claim.
