Fascism always had one thing in common with its politics, fetish of progress and technology, the techno-optimists of Italy in early 20th century all were either aligned with emerging fascist forces or later aligned themselves with it. However in my mind there's a break in 21st century, technology and science are hard to define unless you use concrete terms which included the most unimpressive and simple to most impressive and complex. In my opinion this method brings us following definitions of technology and science, technology being any smart use of resources which includes agricultural practices and agriculture tool while also including a micro processer and the smartphone, just like a calculator or tractor help the modern humans same way primitive tools helped our ancestors start agriculture, science has the following definition whenever someone has a hypothesis and tests it in the world to see its truth then they're practicing science. There are multiple ways these definitions can be said to be wrong but for our purposes these will be fine, now how are technofascists of today have had a break from plain old fascists? Because an old fascist would have supported industrial technology for capital, it would have been something more visible, these people weren't hiding their fetish for machines but their thought process was centered around the idea of "the nation" however modern technofascists have quite reversed it, now in a globalized world, their world view revolves around technology and not a care for who they kill with it, that's the difference, technology is now the center while back then ethno-nationalism was. If we take Lenin's words that "Fascism is capitalism in decay" then it would make sense that these destructive technologies always manifest around crisis points crisis of '08 gave birth to not only crypto but also increasingly draconian surveillance apparatus and now we are seeing since Covid the increasing power of companies like palantir and now the ai companies which are creating the tech to automate the death machines. Now that these people have started to concentrate power into their own hands from the old guard of capitalism we need to see how they're weakening those of us who can resist their advances in real life, how they're poisoning our communities, and how they're driving the rhetoric around us

  1. Derail the conversation with already contentious topic, derail conversation about ai with meat and dairy so whenever anyone calls out their tactics the person calling out get labelled as "lazy bum who doesn't want to give up meat" whenever someone points out the flaw that meat and dairy industry exist on a far bigger scale than ai industry, they get called whiny and neat picking who is doing all this so they don't have to take personal responsibility.
  2. Shows "the other" as a genius because they apparently accepted this new tech, you can see this in the way crypto proponents used Russia's use of it to undermine sanctions, in the way nft shills used some Filipino people's of using it to make some money, in the way ai boosters used Iran's shitposting lego videos, in the way tech obsessed people use anything done by global South to support their favourite overlord. These aren't only right wingers or socdems either, you can the communists doing this too, not saying they're on payroll but the fact that living inside the empire makes a useful subject in one way or another, however there's an important difference these people forget that doing something to fit in with the empire and as a hedgemon actively creating something sure yep seperate things. All these fascist technologies were created in America by Americans and only later did the rest of the world played catch up, communist tech obsessed people often like to say that China is the leader in their favourite fascist technology however they never mention that China is always following the America's playbook, I have never seen any fascist tech developed in China first, renewables yes, better ways to develop HSR yes, better ways to make amazing housing yes, it is never "let's replace all the humans' brains with a machine outside of their control" or "let's tie everyone's life to this token system". These people socialist nations a disservice by projecting their own desires on them instead of recognising their actual successes, what's a bigger success? A literal potential cancer vaccine or fucking llm hentai maker?
  3. Undersell the consequences and oversell the benefits, you can see everyone communist ai bro being like "water use of ai is way over loan, look at this graph" or "it is impossible to determine the use but we can how good the outcomes are" when we don't need a statiscal table, we can see the ground reality by the people who live in places where these data centers are being built. Then the communist ai bros with right wing ai bros all them NIMBY
  4. Make the victim, the bourgeois. This mistake has even been from sincere people like certain comrades from soviet union who at a certain point in their history called queerness "fascist bourgeois decadence" but nowadays it more so comes from people who aren't building a nation hit shitposting and talking about how everyone who doesn't adopt their overlord's machine and agenda is dumb, make artists and people who's labour has been turned into data and used training "petty bourgeois elitists" make people who's entire lives got turned into data for training "pearl clutching copyright" well not that it matters but let's see how trade union of writers in America handled it, the bosses wanted more copyright for their profit because copyright allows companies to do more and more profiteering but what did the workers demand? They demanded negotiation power, power to say no, power to refuse, for a worker, a craftsman, an artist, their labour is intimately tied to them, when someone abuses it, exploits it, abstracts it, that alienates them so they want power to control their labour, not as property but as labour power and labour value. Now did every writer in that strike thought this? Most likely no however due to the material conditions of workers, this is they do, they aren't the ones who make money by owning.
  5. Create further class divide between the oppressed classes, look closely and you'll see a contempt for labour and labourers whenever you see these tech bros whether right wing or communist, what they want is consumption, consumption of nfts, of crypto, of image/video generators, of endless content on social media, of all the consumer goods no matter what condition produced them. Consumption is for a specific class, as much as fordist model created mass consumer base, consumption is fundamentally a habit of the class or individuals from the classes being exploited bought off by the capitalists not the ones being exploited, this is the thing, every problem in American socialist movement stems from an unwillingness to oppose imperialism and to detach one self from imperialist economics and culture, this also creates problems inside the Empire where people on higher ranks of empire don't care about the internal periphery.

This is all I had to say, let me know what everyone here thinks, solidarity and free Palestine.
