I just want to add that I really appreciate everyone who has taken the time to report low quality posts, I could not moderate this community without you. Rule 13 is in no way reflective of the majority of the vast majority of people who take the time to report violations.

The rules for posting and commenting, besides the rules defined here for lemmy.world, are as follows:

Rule 1- All posts must begin with YSK.
All posts must begin with YSK. If you're a Mastodon user, then include YSK after @youshouldknow. This is a community to share tips and tricks that will help you improve your life.
Rule 2- Your post body text must include the reason WHY YSK:
In your post's text body, you must include the reason "Why" YSK: It’s helpful for readability, and informs readers about the importance of the content.

Love it, but is there an exception for blatant spam like those porn accounts that have been posting in random communities lately? I usually just send a report of "Spam" when I see one regardless of where it is.

If you're using the Voyager app, make sure to select "Custom Response" when you report. That's where you can detail the rule and how. The other two options just auto send a report to the mods.
Thank you for the updates to the rules. These seem incredibly reasonable.
