Anyone have a sliding doors moment they want to share? Or is it too late for that kinda q?

[โ€“] Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 3 points 9 hours ago

If I hadn't realised sea rocks are really nice to look at and can prop up a clothesline and a birdbath I'd have more of them.

If I hadn't have made the decision to go against my ex, and go get beers with my coworkers, I would never have left them at all. My one small rebellion against his insecurities and desire to control everything I do, led me to breaking up with them that very night (late October 2018).

two that I can think of

when my FIL said something so batshit insane I realised that moment he and the rest of the fam were in a cult

and then much later doing CBT when my doc showed me that the people i thought cared for me had never done a nice or kind or supportive thing ever ( I am lucky I am past that , I have the seagoons now ๐Ÿ˜Š )

If I hadn't decided to tell my house mate the truth about my drug use, he never would have told me he believed in me, which was the catalyst to getting where I am now.

Can't wait to hear what you think of it!!

Also what cocktails did you have and what was your favourite and why?

[โ€“] StudChud@aussie.zone 1 points 9 hours ago

Ooooh I had an Aperol spritz, a Montenegro Sour (both from De Bepi bar), and a Whiskey something haha (at the Brunswick Picture House), and two venom cherry sours at a small local.

SpoilersBear is the antagonist, he was an absolute fucking cunt, incel, coward, and no one can convince me otherwise. He fucked Real Nikki up so bad and she's fucked for the rest of her life because of him and his incel cowardice

My partner is pissed at Bear too lol so I know I bagged myself a good dude haha

On my way home from a work social event at Prison Island in docklands, pretty cool set up they have! Kinda like a whole bunch of mini escape rooms but with a good mix of stuff not just same old puzzles. Some physical stuff mixed in

[โ€“] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 3 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

Oh I hadn't heard of Prison Island before!! Is it kinda like a VR sim but with more teamwork built in? Or more towards an escape room? I've heard about VR zombie Shooters popping up but they scare me.

More escape room than that. But it has things like that big floor with changing coloured squares you have to dodge the red ones and stomp on the green ones

Alright. What a fucking week.

Now I need to find something to do tomorrow night that's cheap.

Open to suggestions if anyone has any.

[โ€“] Catfish@aussie.zone 7 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Theoretically you were coming to mine to whoop Racer's butt at MarioKart...

Sweet. I'll be there :)

This is supposed to be a de-stressing activity not a territory war

[โ€“] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 5 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

They don't look very helpful

[โ€“] Catfish@aussie.zone 3 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

I'm sure their opinion differs

[โ€“] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 1 points 13 hours ago

They are helping in the way that cats help.

Left just tried to eat a Tauntaun, TheVoid has taken out a lien on the brain cell

[โ€“] MeanElevator@aussie.zone 3 points 16 hours ago

One on the left is confused by your choices, the black one is pitying you.

[โ€“] Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 5 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

Bird baff is IN

Much easier and less ibuprofen than moving the fukn clothesline that's for sure.

Truth be told they won't use it lol.

Idea is to do a little simple path to it and plant some things around it.

[โ€“] SaneMartigan@aussie.zone 1 points 15 hours ago

If you keep it clean and full, they'll use it. Assuming you don't have cats or something.

[โ€“] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 4 points 19 hours ago

My credit card balance and my own calculations are not agreeing with each other. Looks like line by line analysis will be required. I think that can wait until tomorrow though, I'm far too busy digesting lunch for that sort of nonsense now.

[โ€“] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 points 18 hours ago

i kid you not, I think we've had some snow here, very fine, melts before it hits the ground

[โ€“] Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 4 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

How long does it take a tax return to process usually?

[โ€“] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 4 points 20 hours ago

1 to 2 weeks.

[โ€“] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 6 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

Woke up from an anthology style dream about three different villages/cultures and how they each dealt with death. What the actual fuck dream. Quickly jotted them down, will write them out later me thinkies because it was actually next level insane for my brain.

[โ€“] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 4 points 22 hours ago (2 children)

My dream was about watches. I looked down and I had on a man's watch and it was upside down and too big. It was crucial I read the time so I had to find clues that would locate a watch I could read. It was like a treasure hunt. Very deep.

[โ€“] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 1 points 10 hours ago

Did you find the watch you could read in the end?

[โ€“] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 points 20 hours ago

I dreamed I was in New York and went to the Mercury Theater, the famous one, it was old fashioned and very beautiful. I was excited to tell mr seagoon all about it

of course it doesn't exist irl, it's the name of a famous troupe/theater company.

Moving stuff to this NAS feels like I'm getting my whole life organised. I have files spread all over the place, especially because of computers that dualboot or saving everything when I've switched distros.

I'll have files from an old computer saved on a drive, but it will all just be in a folder called 'old computer' and I never got around to folding it back into the nee file system.

And I swear I've downloaded the Metroid Prime trilogy like 3 times across different computers and OSs in anticiaption of playing it. Now it can live in one spot until I'm ready

Yeah, just a cheap 2-bay D233 or something. I know people have had issues with them recently but setup was so easy
