I want to believe this is true, so they won my click, but "I heard that some executives and even one unnamed CEO...." is a really low quality article

Thanks for taking the hit so the rest of us don't have to.

Wish this worked the other way. Every email I receive from my CEO is at least partially AI generated (he openly admits it)

[–] slampisko@lemmy.world 6 points 5 hours ago

I briefly worked under a project manager that would obviously forward all questions I had to ChatGPT and paste the answer. At that point, what the fuck are you there for...

I completely understand getting that fed up with AI generated emails.

Are people really that hopeless they can't write an email by themselves?

[–] Strider@lemmy.world 7 points 3 hours ago

I understand you frustration!

Would you like me to.... 🤣

To your question, yes... But it's a confusing world because the other 99% of ceos are firing any employee that doesn't use AI first, at least in the tech sector..

[–] turdburglar@piefed.social 8 points 7 hours ago

good. it is considered rude to show ai slop to other humans

[–] AlecSadler@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 6 hours ago

We've fired 3 people at my job for AI slop, I hope we're not alone.

This is part of the abuse cycle. First they punish you for not behaving a certain way like using A.I. Then they punish you behaving that same way ... in this case using A.I.

Eventually you will stop trying to decide for yourself if using A.I. is right and wrong. Eventually you will just do what they tell you.

There's nothing in this story that indicates this particular CEO or company was ever on board with AI.

[–] Ghostalmedia@lemmy.world 4 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

Or, different people have different opinions about AI in the workplace.

[–] pleb_maximus@piefed.zip 1 points 5 hours ago

Unpossible!

[–] inb4_FoundTheVegan@lemmy.world 4 points 6 hours ago

At some point the rubber has to meet the road but years after hearing about the coming tide of AI, it's still not useful.

[–] Smaile@lemmy.ca 3 points 8 hours ago

looks like they can't hold up their stiff upper lips over this any more.

[–] trewq@lemmy.world 3 points 9 hours ago

Will he fire himself if he send AI slops?
