Okay, good start. Now force recruiters to tell you which company you'll be applying for before you apply and we'll be getting somewhere...
United Kingdom
General community for news/discussion in the UK.
Less serious posts should go in !casualuk@feddit.uk or !andfinally@feddit.uk
More serious politics should go in !uk_politics@feddit.uk.
Try not to spam the same link to multiple feddit.uk communities.
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.
Posts should be related to UK-centric news, and should be either a link to a reputable source, or a text post on this community.
Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.
If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread.
Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.
Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.
Good. This shit passed in several US states and is a breath of fresh air - and a return to what used to be the norm back in the '90s and before. Don't let these fuckers get away with trying to weasel out of, it either! I have faith in y'all to hold them to it.
Remember my first job, they said it was "against company culture" to discuss salaries.
This was at the same company where my manager happily told me I'm getting a raise because the minimum of the engineering salary range has increased.
It was a hint of your manager to leave.
Only if it were, they wouldn't have got surprized when I did in fact leave.
That team was amazing though, but corporate sucked ass. It was both the best and worst job I had, everything since is run-of-the-mill in comparison.
Great news. I hate when job ads say stuff like "competitive". Plus it's a guage for if the ad is way above or below your current level (as it can easily not be clear from the description)
Yeah, I do this already in my job postings. Gotta be upfront and honest if you’re going to find the right talent.
As a fellow manager... i doubt anyone i wanna hire would apply if i didn't disclose it.
HR is also very against it. Google straight up would delist your job ad in SEO if you don't disclose it.
Thank you.
