I would like to have more infos on this. Why was he removed? How is this removal different from all the others that have preceeded it?

That's pretty much the reason there's protests - there hasn't been a reason given for his removal, and people are concerned because of that.

I think officially it is a standard reshuffle, but behind the scenes Zelensky is pushing out a political rival.

The situation is way more complex than this and there are multiple angles to it in regards to military leadership, politics and alleged corruption. Not to mention the things that we probably don't even know about.

The optics are less than stellar but the actual motivations behind his removal are not very clear at the moment IMO.

I don't know enough to do informed commentary as to the domestic political side or merits one way or another, but I do have to say that I think that United24 is probably a factor in Ukraine's war effort and that it is not fantastic from the standpoint of the war to have them not publishing. Mykhailo Fedorov accused commander-in-chief Oleksandr Syrskyi of refusing to discuss problems directly and instead “weaving intrigues behind the scenes.” Fedorov said he accepted President Zelensky’s decision not to dismiss Syrskyi and was prepared to work with him. He credited Syrskyi with helping Ukraine hold in 2022, but argued the war has changed and the military cannot move forward on old methods while drone technology changes several times within a single cycle.

Zelensky said Mykhailo Fedorov will remain on his team, with his future role to be announced later. Responding to protests, the president said people were right to demonstrate and added that the government has no secrets from society, only from Russia.

Zelensky also said Ihor Klymenko is being considered for defense minister, though no nomination has yet been submitted to parliament. He said the next minister must address mobilization and the work of recruitment centers, including finding a more respectful approach. Zelensky added that abusive forced-mobilization practices must be eliminated and said this could be one of Klymenko’s strengths.
