Several, but more. Importantly, they developed a "game" where teenage teach other teenage Orcas they can sink them. Is about their solidarity against these money pits.

I prefer my billionaires to be sacrificed to The One Who Stirs Under the Mountain. We must keep the The One Who Stirs Under the Mountain content.

That's a version of Yellowjackets I'd actually enjoy watching.

Seriously, we have multiple economists saying the only way out of this fine mess (and to save the world) is to massively redistribute the wealth at the top to the rest of the population.

Yeah, as someone studying economics, I agree

Having a small group of people hoarding the money is bad actually

I'm an economist (I have a degree and everything. It's in underwater basket weaving but it's still a degree) and I say this. My cool brother has a degree in linguistics and yells at people that he has a degree in economics and says the same thing too

To be fair, when I took Economics 101: Macroeconomics in 1985, there was a big point about how important it was to maintain a fairly even wealth distribution, with a discussion of how it is a very bad thing™ for all the wealth to consolidate at the top. (In the meantime, Reagan was gutting all the policies that were used to keep wealth distributed and preserve a strong middle class.) So this is something that anyone who took a basic college course should know.

In time, I got confused that presidents and legislators kept pushing supply side (trickle-down) economics and kept passing laws that allowed the upper class to keep more of their money, while leaving the lower and middle classes to languish, when I was certain these officials were educated (or had experts who were) and should know better. Then I worked out that they are just captured and corrupt AF.

Based pinãta economics pilled

[–] marcos@lemmy.world 8 points 2 days ago (1 children)

This and anti-cyclical spending avoiding depressions are the only two real¹ predictions from the guy that basically invented macroeconomics.

No politician cares about either of them.

1 - Meaning about things people actually need, not money.

which dude who invented marco? because we have like three real schools of marco and then the austrians sitting around with they thumbs up they butts

because they scared of numbers

[–] marcos@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Keynes did it.

Not exactly in a cave... But in a military prison cell in China.

We need another FDR and A new deal 2.0 at this point

Luigi didn't do anything though.

And that poor sub tried its best.

[–] BitchPeas@lemmy.world 33 points 3 days ago (1 children)

The live cam did nothing wrong. Its an objective observer.

The Orcas are simply accepting our terms of war.

[–] quarkquasar@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

As a representative of the Orcas, let me just say: There is a lot more surface of this planet that is water than there is land, a lot more.

[–] BitchPeas@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

.... what.... what are you proposing? Porpoising.

What's up with the orcas? Am I missing something?

[–] PP_BOY_@lemmy.world 121 points 3 days ago (4 children)

A specific pod of them was attacking yachts in the north Atlantic and training others to do the same last summer IIRC

[–] cavitationfetishist2@quokk.au 71 points 3 days ago (4 children)
