America hates open air prisons for Muslims... Just not if their buddy Israel is the warden.

[–] micnd90@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago

This open air prison looks kinda lit literally and figuratively, probably has better public transport, education, and healthcare than my city (Denver, lmao)

[–] OurToothbrush@lemmy.ml 9 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Wait, are you telling me that a country thats killed millions of muslim people over the last twenty years isnt being good faith about how it portrays how its geopolitical rival treats a Muslim minority?

[–] CyberGhost@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 2 years ago

I know, a shocker, right 🫢

Posts extremely flimsy sources and then throws in some racism to boot.

[–] Marketsupreme@lemm.ee 6 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Calling Xi Jin ping whinnie the pooh is not racist.

[–] Tankiedesantski@hexbear.net 14 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Comparing a Chinese person to a yellow animal isn't racist! What's next? Saying that comparing Obama to Curious George or Netanyahu to Splinter is racist?

Political correctness gone mad I say!

[–] Marketsupreme@lemm.ee 2 points 2 years ago (3 children)

Nice sarcasm. We can have a conversation if you want.

I was coming at it from the classic "squinty eyed caricature" that are typically associated with Chinese. Didn't consider the yellow of whinnie the pooh so fair enough. But please continue being condescending.

Exactly right my friend! Each race has exactly one (1) racist characteristic assigned to it. Xi-Pooh doesn't have slanty eyes so not racist. Obama-Curious George wasn't eating watermelon so not racist. Netanyahu-Splinter wasn't holding a bag of gold so not racist.

[–] Tankiedesantski@hexbear.net 13 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Yes, but at least I'm not a racist.

[–] Marketsupreme@lemm.ee 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Man even when i admit im wrong you're still a cunt. I feel like I'm on reddit.

[–] Tankiedesantski@hexbear.net 15 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I feel like I'm on reddit.

Pot calling the kettle black.

(Kettle wasn't eating fried chicken, therefore not racist).

[–] h3mlocke@lemm.ee 1 points 2 years ago

Are you still whining?

See that's what I always saw it as, him just Streissanding himself. He has the likeness of pooh and the "yellow skin" is an unfortunate side effect.

[–] brain_in_a_box@hexbear.net 11 points 2 years ago

It absolutely is, no different to calling a black person an ape.

[–] Tankiedesantski@hexbear.net 12 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Palestinians are under full blockade by the Zionist Entity and have their power cut off, yet they're posting daily videos of Zionist attrocities.

Xinjiang has a huge land border with neighboring Muslim countries, no restrictions on the flow of goods, and Uyghurs can freely travel anywhere else in China and the world but we haven't seen a single video of a Chinese attrocity over many years of alleged "genocide".

[–] gareins@lemm.ee 1 points 2 years ago
[–] Cleverdawny@lemm.ee -1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

If Israel wanted to commit a genocide, it would. I find it interesting how little tankie commie fucks like CG care about the people who start conflicts like this - Hamas and their allies in Hezbollah and Iran - and more about blaming the country with very legitimate security concerns here.

I will often criticize Israeli policy, but Hamas is a literal group of genocidal terrorists, and they're the government of Gaza. What is Israel supposed to do here?

[–] CyberGhost@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

if it wanted to commit genocide it would

What the fuck is it doing right now? What do you call what is happening right now? What do you call blocking people from escaping and bombing hospital killing people that are looking for shelter?! Your willful denial of that makes me sick 🤮

Hamas is a group of genocidal terrorist

No, you are thinking of the apartheid regime of Israel

They are the government of Gaza

I don’t know what kind of crack you’ve been smoking buddy, but Hamas is a revolutionary people’s army. It is not the government.

What is Israel supposed to do?

What it has always been supposed to do. It has to give back the sovereignity of the land to the rightful Palestinians and whoever wants to stay can request Palestinian citizenship.

[–] Cleverdawny@lemm.ee -1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

See? He's fucking despicable and has lost the plot.

[–] CyberGhost@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

Zionist are seriously nuts 😵‍💫

[–] GBU_28@lemm.ee -1 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

Only discussing this specific point:

Hamas is the ruling (albeit defacto) government of Gaza

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestinian_government#%3A%7E%3Atext=Since+June+2007%2C+the+Fatah%2CPNA+representatives+in+June+2007.

"Third Hamas government 2016–present is the Gaza-based Hamas-dominated de facto government in Gaza."

They don't have the paperwork or the votes, but they absolutely run that place.

No comment on anything else don't reply to me about other topics.

[–] IAmHisBiggestSpoon@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

And they appeared out of thin air as a response to absolutely nothing?

[–] GBU_28@lemm.ee -1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

What? They used force to take what control they have

[–] IAmHisBiggestSpoon@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

Again. Why? What event or events caused a group of Palestinians to decide that forming a violent reactionary group was their best option? What prevents the other 2 million people in Gaza from rooting them out and/or condemning them?

[–] GBU_28@lemm.ee -1 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

Multiple layers there.

1: religious extremism

2: they believe they should control Israel.

3: they can't do anything against Iran backed strongmen, they are just civilians

[–] IAmHisBiggestSpoon@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)
  1. Settlers stole Palestinian land because someone in Europe said it was cool.
  2. Settlers build a wall and force 2.2 million people into one of the most densely packed ghettos in human history. A ghetto that the settlers can at any time cut off the water, electricity, internet and food supply. All of which the settlers do regularly.
  3. Settlers regularly harass, abuse, rape, murder, gas and bomb their prisoners. Men, women, children, Hamas, civilian. Indiscriminately and whenever they feel like.

If you have to choose whether to watch your children starve to death slowly or die now on your feat defending your people's right to live, I hope to God you have the balls to stand up.

[–] GBU_28@lemm.ee -1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

This has nothing to do with who is the defacto government of Gaza, which Hamas is.

It has to do with the why, which I'm not discussing further. Cya!

[–] IAmHisBiggestSpoon@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

Why the defacto government exists? Besides the Western Islamaphobia you're regurgitating? Yes that is what we're discussing.
Are you 12? Does every event exist in a vacuum for you?

[–] GBU_28@lemm.ee -1 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

I linked wiki which has a mountain of sources you dumb fuck, scroll up, I even quoted it.

It's not islamphobia or even opinionated in any way to reference a source. Wiki isn't end all be all but it's a very fair starting point

[–] IAmHisBiggestSpoon@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

You can't even consider that this is a group of proletariat responding to the abusive and desperate material conditions forced upon them by a foreign, imperialist, genocidal, fascist ethno state that is backed by Western armies and liberal politicians. All you can come up with is "Muslim bad. Iran is Muslim, also bad." It turns out, when you invade a land that has naturally formed a cohesive society around a central religion, generally the people who fight back are members of the religion. It has nothing to do with their desire for survival. It's just the easiest thing to organize around.
It doesn't matter whether they're the defacto government, elected government or a extremist Islamic miltia. They are a last resort and violent response to a violent oppressor.

I never said anyone was better, I only stated a fact about who is governing gaza.

You are acting very emotionally and I recommend you not reply, but if you do, please tell me who is in power in gaza.

Don't reply if that's not your first sentence.

Because I don't care about ANY supporting detail. None of the "why".

Please learn to reply appropriately because you are conflating.my very tightly scoped fact into a whole big thing. You are out of context and inappropriate.

[–] IAmHisBiggestSpoon@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

Israel is in power in Gaza. They control every aspect of life there. Read through the responses and tell me again who is emotional lol? Be a Communist. Always ask "why?". All I am doing is pointing out that you are propagating one of the many deflections used by Western Media to distract from what is happening on the ground. The word you use to label Hamas is not important. Why the prisoners of Gaza are committing violent acts is.

[–] GBU_28@lemm.ee -1 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

They are not the government.

I never used a label.

Cya!
