I've always wondered why Marxists can't explain themselves without writing an entire novel. I just want the tldr

Tldr Marxists believe in a classless, moneyless and stateless society bc they think that would be ~~utopia~~ an objectively morally superior system of government
Thanks for the correction @sharkfucker420@lemmy.ml
No well read Marxist believes communism to be utopian in any way. They only see it as an objectively morally superior system of government that provides for its workers rather than providing workers for it's ruling class.
Thanks, I didn't know
It would be. Shame they also advocate for unchecked violence to achieve that utopia, though.
Unlike the current unchecked violence to keep capitalism in place.
Oh, it's checked alright. Just not by people whose interests align with yours or mine.
this is a "tell me you don't know without telling me" moment
TLDR: capitalism not good
It depends on the question. If you ask something like "what can be done about homelessness", the answer wouldn't be more than a couple paragraphs. If the question is "why is homelessness", you're very rightfully going to get a short novel.
If you want the tldr on why homelessness, the answer is you can't extort people for housing unless they're afraid of losing it.
or, more broadly speaking, capitalism
