What relevance does the tattoo have? Sounds like the Post is just trying to demonize people who use weed because of this murderer.

Yeah the nypost is absolute trash, it should be banned from the community IMO

Considering it is also owned by the same piece of trash that owns Fox News, and hasn't been relevant since 1976... I fully agree with this.

Pretty sure that's how they identified him

"It was present for the crime there for its the reason of the crime." Sadly relevant even here on Lemmy.

I'm just waiting for someone to claim its because cannabis can potentially exacerbate underlying mental health issues. It's very clear that was not the intention of the article assuming the authors had even known about such a thing in the first place.

Did any of you read the article? Yes, NY post is trash. But they mention it as the reason he was identified. Because he has a very specific, very noticeable identifier. Such as a giant head tattoo.

And that's relevant enough for the headline of the article?

I don't know if it's just the lighting, but his pupils look quite dialated. I'm wondering if this is a case of stimulant psychosis, or good old regular psychosis. Either way, I don't get the aside in the story to point out his stupid fucking tattoo.

Edit: Now that I think about it, isn't he at the age that schizophrenia tends to manifest?
