A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper has charged the Chambers County school superintendent with obstructing the investigation of an accident involving Poole's 16-year-old son.
The teen flipped his father's pickup and knocked over a utility pole about 3 a.m. Saturday on FM 565 near Cove, about 30 minutes east of Houston, authorities said.
The trooper arrested Poole for refusing to make his son available for questioning about the accident, the Texas Department of Public Safety said.
"Trooper Dunn asked him twice to produce his son, and he would not," said Stephanie Davis, Texas Department of Public Safety spokeswoman in Beaumont. "He never informed the trooper where he could find his son."
EDIT 2: Just to be clear, it's not the trying to cover for his son that is the problem to look at. As a parent myself, I get trying to protect your children even if it's poor judgement, everyone is allowed to make mistakes, child and parent alike.
What I CANNOT FUCKING ABIDE is the insane hypocrisy this fuck demonstrates through allowing exceptions to the LAWS for his child that he will defend and go to jail over, while demanding someone else's child fall in line to school guidelines that are malleable and far less rigid in both application and enforcement than any legal criminality. Ive had my ad blocker turned off for a week on Youtube. Theres a preroll ad on every video and a shitload of ad break mid video and at the last 3 seconds of a video.
Its the worst viewing experience I can imagine. I cut out Twitch and even stopped all my subs when they went mandatory ad viewing. Im full on ready for third party options in the same spirit as Lemmy.

Just got this right before midnight in my MS Admin app alerts. If you dont configure the policy, in September it defaults to opening web links in Edge regardless of OS default browser setting.
I woke up this morning to One Drive doing its usual thing being HOT GARBAGE, now I'm going to bed with Teams becoming HOT GARBAGE.

The Microsoft Teams desktop app for Windows will open web links from Teams chats in Microsoft Edge to enable a new web and chat side-by-side experience.
By opening web links in Edge, users will be able to see those links side-by-side with their Teams chats—web links will open as new browser tabs and the Teams chats will open next to them in the Edge sidebar. This new, single-view Teams experience in Edge is designed to minimize switching between windows and to help users stay in the flow of work while referencing web links.
This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 126334.
This change to use Edge to open web links from Teams chats follows a similar, previously announced change in the Outlook for Windows app. Customers impacted by this change in Outlook were notified via MC541626, MC545904, or MC548092.

This change does not affect a device’s default browser setting in Windows.
This only affects commercial users signed into Teams with Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) accounts.
The policy described in the following section configures which browser is used to open web links for both Teams (chat) and the Outlook for Windows app (email), or, if you did not receive an Outlook for Windows app Message center notification, this policy will only apply to Teams (chat).
When will this affect your organization:
Timing:
Microsoft Teams desktop app for Windows: This change will start rolling out late September.
Outlook for Windows: Roll out in progress. If this change affects your users, you will have received either MC541626, MC545904, or MC548092, and can refer to them for specific timing.
Note: Depending on your Outlook for Windows update channel, you may experience the change in Teams first. Action:

If you did not receive a message center notification for the Outlook for Windows app (email), then the setting only applies to Teams (chat).

Only links set to open via a web browser are affected. Links that are set to open in a client app or within Teams itself will continue to do so. User experiences will vary by policy configuration; please see the next section.
You can manage this experience at any time. What you need to do to prepare:

Note: If you want to manage this change for your entire organization so that Teams only opens web links using the device’s system default browser, you will need to configure the policy to Enabled and select Default browser.

Talking in the third person seems to just be a from of tolling for fun, and it's all well and good, but in that context I garner doubts about the veracity of your claims as you seem to go about roleplaying a caricature style built around your username.
I didn't intentionally mis-gender you, I have a tendency default to the fewest letters to refer to a random person online not knowing biological gender or preferred pronoun and gendering without any intent to insult or distress.
[He = less typing, and only requires 2 bytes of data vs 4 bytes to be stored and sent/resent for every view of a message. I continue to argue like a nerd that he/her is by far the best all-around option to adopt as the universal 'generic' pronouns, as they/them is a plural usage that typically implies more than one. When you have one person with a they/them pronoun in the same discussion with a group of people that are de-facto referred to as they/them due to the representation of a plurality, it creates a definitive lack of precise communication on the subject of reference. They/them only works in a singular pronoun when you don't have multiple subjects to represent in and out of the context of a discussion. Exactness of language to discern intent and meaning is exactly what preferred pronouns are useful for, but they/them introduces it's own complexities of structure and content for an individual's preferred identification, IMO. This admittedly doesn't take personal traumas into account, but traumas are something to be dealt with through positive mental health therapy, be it self directed or from outside help, to overcome it them.]
I'll gladly use your preferred pronoun and gendering once I'm aware you have such request, but you shouldn't use it as a whip to distract/dismiss criticism entirely unrelated to pronouns, that sort of self service can be diminishing of your own trauma.
I certainly don't know the reality of living trans AMAB and experiencing trauma from a lifetime of perceived mis-gendering, but I do wish you well, and hope you have a support structure around you of friends and family that are understanding and supportive.
Drag has some things to work out, as we all do in different ways, but I hope their life works out for the best on their own terms. Maybe in time people will get used to Drag talking in the third person, but the comedic styling needs some practice to level it up.
