i am barely getting by on balanced difficulty 😭
Kinda wish this would've been in the original release version
With such a complicated game, it makes sense to get a few patches out before hard-core. We no longer live in the Era of games releasing in a state where fair, fully expected hardcore deaths are the majority.
Big agree. I had my fair share of needing to save scum because the game bugged out e.g. characters stuck inside walls or objects, actions not executing properly, etc.
Hopefully by the time they release the patch with this new difficulty option the game will have enough polish that it can be played in true ironman fashion.
I’m low key stoked for this.
I haven’t played a permadeath mode since a persistent server I used to frequent in Neverwinter Nights.
There's some bugs that would have to be fixed first before I would ever attempt this.
I encountered the exact same bug on my first run and second run. After completing all of the challenges before Ansur, walking back to the main corridor with the door leading to the fight, The moment experience is awarded all the checks are done in the door unlocks The main character dies. Possible I've done the same order every time but I ended with the chess game and upon walking out I insta die from full health. Reloading the save doing the chess game again and walking out seems to work.
